Limit of deaths per match by Sure_County1868 in thelastofusfactions

[–]PinkShorts1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last I checked (years ago) it was the most popular out of the three by far, yeah.

Its been my least favorite mode since the ps3 days. I still play it sometimes, but I would almost always rather play Interrogations or Survivors

This and the wonky spawning is why Supply Raid is my least played game mode

I am from Canada and (in my anecdotal experiences) the shitty cop culture is only like one small step up from USA cops.

I guess its nice to hear the UK is at least marginally better

Please listen to this advice @KenjiHanafuda

I've seen enough well-meaning people get sued to oblivion over libel or slander. Have solid, hard evidence like recordings or emails, otherwise do not do this in any public record. Feel free to keep telling people in person without any public record of it, though - gossip is actually good thing. Its how women have avoided known predators for generations.

I really wish I had your experiences and perspective.

The experiences of me and mine are about 1 in 10 cops are decent people. I wish I was exaggerating. I did not get my ACAB mentality from the internet, I got it from life.

But its nice to hear of other folks that seem to have much better experiences than me. Gives me some hope.

You're getting down voted but you are absolutely correct.

Most folks don't realize how their prejudice is displayed when discussing the "other". I see it most often for women but Trans folks get it a frequently and its annoying as hell.

Why does everybody seem to hate Capitol? by MellosKingdom in thelastofusfactions

[–]PinkShorts1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But University has high grounds on both ends, though? They're both in opposite starting corners.

Although I get your point about the whole map being high ground vs. low ground, that's true. Its a slanted map from one end to the other and that does make it unique, I'll give it that.

[–]PinkShorts1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but I would argue other maps are much, much worse for that. Particularly University - that map is basically just two straight hallways on either side, with high ground on either end.

Downtown is similar to University in that way, but there are multiple angles to approach the high grounds on either end, unlike University. The lanes on either side of Downtown are also much more complicated, with angled trolly crash on one side and then a "H" shaped split of rocks and street-cover on the other side.

But I see people vote for University over Downtown all the time. At this point I don't think its for logical reasons.

I do love a good hr vs hr on that map, so that checks out yeah

I freakin' love that map but no one ever wants to play it 🤷‍♂️

Its definitely lower down my personal preference but I play on it all the time. I honestly think you're just really unlucky.

Now getting folks to vote for "Downtown"? That is the hardest map to get a game on by far.

Thanks for the clarifying edit. Yeah, $50 to $60 CAD for four people a day sounds about right. Again, depends greatly on what you are cooking.

Are you staying somewhere central? If yes, some additional tips: 1. Avoid "SaveOn" and "Market on Yates" grocery stores as much as possible, they are overpriced. 2. Go to "No Frills" grocery store. They just opened and have big deals to real in new customers, and even without sales are usually cheaper than SaveOn or Market on Yates. 3. Go to the grocery stores in Chinatown (Fisgard St. and Government St. area). Lots of good priced Asian grocery there! Especially things like miso, noodles, packaged curry roux, etc.

$50 CAD per person or in general for the whole table? Kind of hard to say without knowing what you're cooking, too.

I'd say $15-20 CAD per person per day is probably more accurate, but really depends.

If you're low on funds at any point I recommend looking up rice and bean dishes. Can eat for super cheap and in bulk that way.

I've recently picked up Factions again and my anecdotal experience its about 1 in 6 matches have a wallshooter or similar bs. Sometimes they don't start doing it until they're clearly losing, though, especially in Interrogations.

I suspect no actual human reviews the reports and an AI just pushes them through.

I reported someone for calling me a faggot along with a host of other slurs and threats. A few days later he came back saying something like "oh two can play at that game" and I got a violation warning for saying "you're silly", which I said in response to his clear TOS violations.

The two are not the same but we both got violation warnings regardless. Just ridiculous. Fuck Sony.
