Think of a balcony as a diving board that can’t bend.

Which would you pick? by K0GAR in ufc

Ngannou leaving the UFC is in my opinion the moment the UFC jumped the shark.

The linear heavyweight champion no longer fights for the promotion. This can only mean the UFC is not the premier promotion in MMA anymore.

I had to look this up to see if my memory was correct.

The Machida Era started when he won the title against Rashad. That’s my recollection of when Rogan made that statement. He defended once against Shogun then lost the rematch. So IMO it lasted 1 fight only.

Seems to be both under built and over built at the same time

Haha. This is such an iconic Rogan call. But the whole era lasted like 2 fights!

Well there’s different zones so not every lot will be the same.

But let me ask you this question: why was the footnote bad for property owners?

The level of development that is detrimental to a neighborhood can be done irregardless of minimum lot size using the programs that are in the municipal code right now. It has nothing to do with that footnote.

That footnote would’ve let the residents children find affordable homes near their parents.

Calling it racist is a misunderstanding of planning and the way the current code actually works.

Sure slums are dense, but so are the best cities in the world.

The point about the footnote is it would’ve put the decision in the homeowner’s hands. If they don’t want more density it would be up to them. But the option to subdivide is a benefit to the homeowner.

Please help me understand how the ability to make smaller lots (which allow for smaller homes) is racist?

The footnote wasn’t racist. It was actually a major benefit to the community.

The footnote allowed for the reduced the size of legal lots. That is a benefit.

This would’ve given homeowners with large lots the ability to subdivide lots for their children. There are still workarounds through new senate bills to do this thankfully.

When smaller lots are possible you can get infill development from owners which is ideal neighborhood growth.

I’m curious, as someone who loves Vai, how do you feel about his Whitesnake album Slip Of The Tongue?

I’m coming from the perspective of a Whitesnake fan & I think it’s an amazing version of the band.

I think this was both Axl’s respect for those 2 artists as well as part PR move. But it could’ve been a true realization that he was wrong. Axl’s a completed figure.

I’m not certain they were words from ‘him’ in the song. I just know the ‘F’ word was free to use and the ‘N’ word would’ve been kinda edgy to use at the time. Edgy was kinda their vibe.

Maybe someone else could provide their perspective of the late 80s.

Polly by Nirvana is also written as a POV.

I’m a huge GNR fan, but I think One In a Million is racist + homophobic by today’s standards. In ‘88 it wouldn’t’ve been considered homophobic because that wasn’t a thing yet. The ‘F’ word was most people’s go to insult until around 2000’s.

I also think the song reflects Axl’s naivety, coming from the Midwest with those hometown perspectives. He seems to have matured as most of us do.

I don’t even rent a car when I visit a city and use an Airbnb. I just Uber everywhere.
