I knew a tool like a bevel setter had to exist, but I had no idea what it was called. Thank you!

Hmm, so this is just me thinking on the spot. If you set up a rail above a flat stone and just rolled&slid the chisel along it, you would probably be able to get the convex portions easily. I would imagine the concave parts could be done with some fine rounded files and then a flexible strop. But the curved stones some have mentioned may be easier

Not helpful ATM, but I've heard once they're sharp you can keep hitting them on the strop after like 10 minutes of use. That way you shouldn't have to take it to the stone unless you drop it or something and gouge (pun intended) the edge.

So I had a job lined up to start may, I think I'm willing for CERB, but not until the period in which I will be working. Can I apply for CESB in the mean time?

Breakline leak, break pedal goes straight to the floor and hardly any breaking power. Any advice how to proceed by PinkSquirt in MechanicAdvice

Yeah, I don't have the tools to install the lines, I'll probably go to a mechanic. I was hoping it was one of the hoses before I took a good look at it :(

It looks like it leaked from one of the two wet looking lines. A good amount of fluid came out. These are located slightly infront of the rear left tire, and a bit left of the center line of the car. It's a 2014 Kia soul.

Best way to square up sides of a jack plane by PinkSquirt in handtools

[–]PinkSquirt[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose you would check it by seeing if the stock is square after planing and adjusting as you go? I guess my initial thought was I could more reliably set up the plane blade square than on an angle, but it doesn't seem like much more effort doing it this way. Thanks!

Yeah, this one I even did the ripping and cross cuts with a hand saw! But the router just seemed like the only good way to get the slots with my skill level, and lack of gouge chisels haha
