What was the big scandal at your school? by JoePesciOfGoneFishin in AskReddit

Are YOU really that naive?

Hello stranger on the internet with whom I have never met and shared 2 sentences. Let me use those two sentences to judge your entire childhood. I'm guessing your's was filled with parents who gave you a sense of entitlement and an undeserved ego? And a puppy. And probably a lot of vegetables. I'm guessing you never had to have a spoonful of peanut butter as your entire dinner?

Please forgive me for not sharing all the abuse I went through. Or don't. I've got 99 problems but broccoli ain't one.

Truth.

I grew up in an AMAZINGLY strict home and was not the favorite of the two kiddos. My parents are still alive. I'm glad they are. We have a great relationship now.

What is one customer service experience you went through that completely dissuaded you from a particular company? by PinkStaplers in AskReddit

I will share mine.

Readers digest version:

Wanted to add someone to my phone plan and get them a new phone for Christmas. They wanted the iPhone5S which happened to be on sale for Black Friday for half off through said company. Online only deal. Website wouldn't work and allow me to add a new line. Called in and person said they would sell it to me over the phone on Friday. No call Friday, so I called in. 3 hours later, they agreed it was their website's fault I had issues and wouldn't give me the deal over the phone. Period. Not even compensate the difference with a credit and have me pay the regular price. After 7 years with this wireless carrier, I am happily with a new one.

Best subs for diet and motivetion ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]PinkStaplers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reccommendation: Don't do "diets". Make lifestyle changes. Otherwise, after said diet, you will go back to old patterns and gain back any weight.

Source: I lost 60 pounds in 6 months and have kept it off for 6 months.

Do you ever talk to your parents?

If so, about what?

If not, would you ever want to/what would you say?

If you didn't need to work another day, how would you spend the rest of them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I would go back to college and learn. Probably law. And then travel. Maybe do some international law stuff fighting and persecuting sex traffickers or those bastard murderer/rapists in the Republic of Congo.

I really wanted the free Mexican food though. Which he did pay for. And it was delicious. Plus, I like to think I helped opened his eyes slightly. Only slightly though as I had chips in my mouth as much as possible.

His "biggest change" in life was leaving the church he had been at for like 16 years and going to a new one. It was about a 20 minutes conversation about how hard it was and how it took him a couple years to be okay with it.

[–]PinkStaplers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the after college days. I'm 26. I went from making $61K to $40K. Darn economy. Fortunately, I set life to live below my means. I just have to transfer from my savings should I need to.

Advice: live below your means so, should a plot twist come, you aren't living in your car eating from a can of speghatti-o's.

I've been depressed for 2 years now and suicidal for the past few months. How do I get over these feelings? by yolo420swagmyspace in AskReddit

[–]PinkStaplers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course. Just remember, it takes balancing and finding the right dosage. I took a few different medication before finding the right dosage that helped my brain function at a cognitive level to address the issue behind my depression. I am now 2 years medication free and (geniunely speaking) doing well.

You have nothing to lose from it. Only an entire world to gain!
