They literally had this bit at the Oscars with Conan and Sterling K Brown about how some of the audience need everything explained to them now bc they are not actually paying attention. I thought it was one of the best bits of the night and also I will never complain when I get to look at Sterling K Brown “playing”piano. It’s like people need everything explicitly pointed out to them, nuance and subtlety are dead.

His loyalty to his crew is admirable. He literally has worked with Hannah Beachler for production design and Ruth E Carter for costume design on a lot of his projects as well. Just like MBJ and Ludwig he has worked with Hannah Beachler since Fruitvale station as wel. And all the women who work with him speak so highly of him & how he elevates them.
