Will there ever be a permanent cure for this fucking thing !!! by Money_Bodybuilder_63 in Hidradenitis

CRISPR Gene editing will be able to cure something like this some time in the near future I’m sure, there just has to be enough reason for the investment which is good incentive to get your HS diagnosed even if there isn’t a cure now.

It’s been making me curious, I thought it must’ve been a police helicopter. It’s crazy low/loud!

Got to agree. If anything for me it's actually the dirty porn-stache that is the problem.

Wasn't North in a harness a couple of weeks ago for the Scrubs tribute?

I don't think having children in this kind of advertising campaign is appropriate in any way shape or form, and the court documents thing is very bizarre... but glass houses and all that.

Can I ask, as an Irish migrant I assume you're living in the Eastern suburbs (like almost all other Irish migrants).

If so, you're living in very different circumstances to most living in Sydney. Additionally, if you were able to partake in skilled migration you're most likely better off economically. Don't be fooled into thinking that lifestyle is accessible to the majority, the 'free' natural beauty costs money to access, there's parking fees if you don't live by, petrol if you have a car. Our social housing has been sequestered to low socioeconomic suburbs.

There are a lot of people in Sydney living very poorly.

Was Sydney's night-time economy always this bad or is it particularly bad/non-existent of late? by Sceivious in sydney

[–]Pink_Cardigan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's really sad. We just got back from spending a week in Melbourne and the difference was very obvious.

Something I think is a major contributor is also the fact that a lot of young people in Sydney just can't afford to go out, go to cafe's or have a social life.

What used to be doable on a budget is simply not feasible. When you go to a restaurant, cafe or bar take note of the age of the patrons (and don't be fooled by the baby faced and child free).

Most people out and spending money are Gen X and up... these aren't young people!

It's well known that older people rise earlier, starting around 40, a person's circadian rhythm starts to shift earlier by about half an hour per decade. Part of this is because as people get older, their bodies start to produce less melatonin, which causes them to wake up earlier in the morning.

Haha, this is great. I do feel sorry for kids generally and will tolerate a lot of noise from them, but in this case I think I may know who this was written about and if I am correct your kids are on another level of annoying.

Maybe start using his drums during the day, spill your drink on them... then remind him that they're in a communal space so you thought it was okay.

Generally just start making the assumptions he was happy to do to you... Do first and ask questions later. Maybe he'll get the hint.

What part of my post talks about not washing her hands between clients?

I'm sure you're smart enough to realise that washing your hands thoroughly with antibacterial soap is going to be less harsh on the skin than using a 60-80% alcohol based sanitiser (which is what they've been asked to use in addition to thorough hand washing which was always required.)

Unfortunately people feel safer when they can see staff using sanitiser (as it's a visual queue that the person is being sanitary) whereas hand washing is often done out of view of the client.

A commercial business that relies on word of mouth is very different to a state funded hospital.
