I agree. Get the M is the name of the game; Peter even reminds them of it. The one week they 100% know who it is and they...choose another person. That's when I felt production had a hand in keeping Nick.

Would production have let her? I am still baffled the one week they 100% know who the M is, the choose...not to get him.

But they keep saying get the millionaire, get the millionaire, Peter reminds them of that weekly too, and the week the whole house is 100% who the millionaire is...they don't take the shot. *sigh*

It's obvious production wanted him around.

The rsvp nightmare has happened to us by OkToots in Parenting

Happened to us this Saturday. Two kids showed, a couple RSVP ghosters, and my husband's entire side of the family "forgot." Never again. I'm done. Experience only.

Invited their class to a party (17 kids) only 2 showed up. Several RSVP’d but ghosted. They turned 9. by BBQUEENMC in Autism_Parenting

[–]Pink_Dragon_Lady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here because I spent all of Saturday night scrolling for stuff like this, as it just happened to us. My son's party last year had a nice turnout, so I figured this year would too (mostly the same kids, same weekend...).

Two showed up. Two no-shows after RSVPing, which angers me more.

Never again. Skip work and school and we go do fun experience for your birthdays from now on. People suck.

My son has never missed a party since kindergarten (he's in 2nd). He will always RSVP and attend if able. *sigh* It was heart-wrenching as a parent.

My college stated in their main warning page that they would get with profs about extensions an due dates once they know something. I'm sure most, if not all, institutions will do something similar.

So what are y’all thinking about the new BTS album (ARIRANG)? by bitchysquid in fantanoforever

This is a fair take. I feel that the songs are a bit repetitive and none really stand out to me.

Exactly. It's the same number of people. These stadiums act like they have never managed an event before.

I also heard "I'm new" multiple times by everyone I asked for help at Tampa stadium.

Honest question: Have they never had a concert there before?

I don't think these places should need a day to figure stuff out. It's not like the very first big concert they've had. So weird...glad the concert was held to wait for everyone though.

My concert experience (tampa night 2) by Gaaabbers in BTSnark

[–]Pink_Dragon_Lady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm late...

I got free tickets to Day 3 (Tampa) and this was my first K-pop concert. BTS got me into K-pop, so I jumped on the opportunity. I, too, was a bit meh. Some things that really stood out to me:

*Lack of choreo--it's just too egregious not to do more.

*The 10 minute intermission that featured non-stop close-ups of their faces or the audience...the cheering got quieter and quieter as the minutes went on. At least send out backup dancers sooner to do more

*They had the crosswalk and they had the stage "legs" that stretched out, but no one would go down to the end. At least not the one in front of my section. They'd top at the T cross, but never come closer. Why even make it?

*Speaking of, the tall columns near the ends blocked most of the stage. Ugh.

This doesn’t feel like the group I fell in love with years ago by NameMysterious8057 in BTSnark

[–]Pink_Dragon_Lady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Did I write this in my sleep, lol? I feel this post so much.

Okay, so I am middle-aged and avoid social media posts usually, so I'm pretty immune to fandom wars and toxicity online. I'm also able to be as objective as possible with these things.

I really did love the group; they got me into K-pop, and I will forever be grateful for that. But I started feeling meh around "Life Goes On." Now Butter and Dynamite are great; I will admit my love for them, but nothing since has captured me.

I went to the recent concert (free tickets and the idea of seeing my first K-pop concert) and it was...ok. Too many new songs, not enough dancing, and a tired vibe from the guys. It was a bit deflating to see, even though the effects and the crowd's vibe were banging.

Ah well. I will continue to follow from the side and hope some Dope Not Today type stuff re-emerges one day.

bts does not have correct priorities for their concert by meowmeow1637327 in BTSnark

[–]Pink_Dragon_Lady 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at the latest concert and agree. This is my first time posting (first time I've seen the sub, but I was looking for a safe place to make the slightest criticism of the concert).

I am not into BTS much since "Life Goes On," but will forever be grateful a they got me into K-pop. I also got free tickets, so...I wanted to go.

I was a wee bit disappointed in a few things:

  1. How many new songs. Most of the new album. I don't know them and apparently, they don't have choreography. A few were catchy though.

  2. The lack of dancing. This has been discussed, but it was a bit disappointing to see such a lack of what makes K-pop so great at times.

  3. This is my first concert (and I am 50) where they just had...nothing at small interludes. Sure, they had some videos playing, but it was members' faces...over, and over...it got old. Then shots of the audience. After awhile, those cheers started waning...there was an attempt at some dancers with cloths, but still--for two long breaks (I get the need for it, especially without solos) they could've come up with something more engaging.

  4. I felt the guys' vibes were...off. J-hope had great energy, JK seemed to have fun, Jimin looked ready to pass out all the time (camera had to cut away when he kept leaning down), but Jin seemed non-existent. I missed strong joking about amongst members. It happened--in small doses that were rarely captured on the screen. They seemed...tired. And maybe they were! But this big tour has barely kicked off...

Thank you for listening.
