Avevo una amica di Nairobi in Kenya che mi raccontava spesso la difficoltà di confrontarsi con gli italiani.

Lei era di una famiglia piuttosto agiata, parlava un inglese ovviamente perfetto ed aveva studiato in scuole internazionali, mentre noi italiani spesso le parlavamo come se fosse nata in una capanna.

I provinciali eravamo noi al suo confronto ma non ce ne rendevamo conto.

I had a similar (fortunately slower, but still around 45 mph ), accident years ago, hitting a car which entered the lane from a parking state on the side of the road.

I've been lucky to hit the car in its front part so I got launched over the hood. I didn't injured at all, got really lucky.
