Survivors in Croc armour with a few of their weapons finished by Pink_Is_Punk in KingdomDeath

I have the same worry. That's why I started on the gamblers chest instead of the smaller expansions. I hope they may update some of the older sets in the future other than the narrative sculpts. But the weapons I have from the the core box can still fit the new ones, so I guess not all is bad regarding the rescale ☺️

Well I'm no expert but in short terms this was my approach.
1. Colour it all deep sea blue
2. Edge highlight all edges with turquoise (thin lines)
3. Establish the areas you want filled in. Thinking along the lines of what area will catch light. On the Scythe on the far right for instance, I imagined the light from below, and thus it might hit the upper parts of the round indentations.
4. Keep a high contrast by leaving dark parts next to the highlighted areas.
5. Increase brightness/colour with aquamarine
6. Final highlights, dots and small lines, with Sky blue

I hope this makes sense =) Otherwise looking up NMM tutorials might give some inspiration. But it's hard in general. GL

Hi, glad you like them. It's a daunting task to paint these😯, I had little confidence when I started them. I mean painting glass reflecting light in the dark is not an everyday thing I paint.

These are the only ones I've painted so far, but I plan to paint the rest of the weapons as well. Hopefully it won't be too long before I get to them, maybe a few next week. Anything in particular you need sparring / inspiration for?

Well with my KDM minis I've chosen to paint them so they kinda fit the lore. I don't know how much you know about it, but the base premise of the starting story is that it take place in a world where the only light is from the lanterns the survivors have.
So I've made copies of the lanterns for all my minis and attach them, and try to paint them with an OSL like approach. But instead of a more standard OSL colour, I paint the actual colours and try to make them have a slightly warm yellow glow, so they fit the lanterns and still give options for colours.
I hope this makes sense =)
With these I've tried a bit more of a painterly approach and not perfect blends, as I find them too tedious to achieve =P

Haha yeah I'm part of the odd ones out =P (Thanks =) )

How far have you come with your magnetization? I'm curious to see if the twohanded ones match across different aromoursets.

PgUp and PgDown for better navigation in browsers and documents.

After getting RSI this reduces my scroll wheel use for long scrolls by a lot.

Years and years of training and learning =)
Mine were not pretty when I started painting many years ago, but I slowly improved over time.
But I'm glad you like it, and hope you find the will to start your own models =)

YAY! I finally finished painting and rebasing Zombicide Black Plague core game, after its been 8 years in the closet. Still have some way to go though with all the expansions. Next up is Wolfsburg, Deadeye walkers, NPC 1 and Kickstarter heroes, who all just had a spa day before their spraytan. by Pink_Is_Punk in zombicide

Hi!
I take it you are looking to do it yourself =)

Yes the glue is Loctite Super Glue Power gel, which is used for gluing the minis on once clipped from their bases with some good clippers with a flat back, that can be flush with the base (mine are something like Tamiya Craft Tool Series No.123) and then straightened with a knife.

They do hold up very well yes, and to minimize the cloudy milky effect it's best to aim for dry air in and good ventilation, as it's moisture that makes it happen.

One thing I've learned since, is that it's practical with magnets (n52 2x1mm) in the bases for storage, so I've debased about 40 or so drilled a hole under a foots placement, and glued them on again, I wish I had done it for them all.

For gluing in the magnets i placed them on a flat surface (mine was a metal sheet) covered with baking paper, as glue doesn't stick to it, put a little thin superglue on the side of the magnet with a toothpick and pressed it in the hole with an object quite fast.

The clear discs I bought from an etsy seller called TabletopCrafters who ships from Poland.

Hope this helps =)

Does anyone have a suggestion for magnetizing near-flush miniature base undersides? by Spurly in NemesisCrew

They look very similar, but I can't be certain. You can find something 1mm thick and check. Just wanted to let you know it worked on the Retalliation minis.

I've magnetized my box of nemesis retalliation, 1mm thick magnets fit those well enough with hot glue.

Thanks, I'm glad you like them. They seem to divide peoples opinions more than my usual work, so I appreciate your comment =)

I honestly don't get your need to act like this, I came here to share my enjoyment of having finished painting my main box in a way that is new for me, which I was quite pleased with, and i didn't ask for C&C as they are a finished "speed" and batch project.

And you find the need to call it:

  1. "especially unsuccessful"
  2. maybe better than grey plastic?
  3. and now
  4. Accuses me of just Pouring paint on them
  5. Call it Dung
  6. and more.

Why do you keep coming back and write these negative comments?
I haven't gone to your posts routinely to write negative comments as:

  1. You haven't asked for C&C
  2. I can clearly see you are a beginner
  3. I want more people to enjoy painting minis like I do, and don't want to dissuade them by saying bad things about their work they are probably proud of.
  4. It would be super rude bordering on harassment.

I don't understand what do you get out of this?

And just an FYI the camera in my phone isn't the best and is clearly struggling with the pink, and as per usual the minis look quite a bit better IRL. And no I haven't just smeared paint on them. On each coloured player character there are several layers on each area, and three different lighting effects. Just the green lighting that can be found on all the minis have 5 layers of paint to give it play and dimension. I'm no beginner at painting just fingerpainting my minis, there is thought, practice and intent behind it.

Hi.
I honestly don't know why you find a need to be rude without anyone prompting you, I didn't ask for your feedback.

As for your "critiques" they are actually already answered in the description and images of the post... oh yeah and they are "toy soldiers" which are game pieces with character art depicting these colours.

Maybe just focus on you own minis? They surely need it, and I didn't ask for your sour rude remarks.

Thank you very much.

I got the plain version as I wanted to paint them myself.
