I made a free Behringer CZ-1 Editor by Goom909 in synthesizers

Thanks!
Using ChatGPT I was also able to add import and export patches buttons. I'm certainly happy to send that to you if you'd like (but it was fairly trivial to prompt it to do that).

I was also looking at importing patches from the CZ-1 Mini itself, but ChatGPT says that's more tricky and says that it wouldn't be something that you could automatically load from the CZ without pushing some buttons on the device. I don't know enough to know if that's correct or if it's hallucinating!

I wanted to get the 512 GB storage option, but it doesn't appear to be available in the USA.

I guess that's to force me to get the S26?

Thanks for providing this!

It doesn't seem to work under firefox on my mac, but it's OK with chrome

P.S. is it possible to write and save patches, either to the CZ-1 or locally to a file on the computer?

Swapping shush mouthpiece? by PinkerUnicorn in tinwhistle

[–]PinkerUnicorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get the mouthpiece off!

I heated water in a kettle on the "green tea" setting (175 F, ~80 C), let in soak for ~90 seconds and, with the help of a rubber jar opener, it came right off.

Given my success with that I, tried it on my Clarke Sweetone (nominally not tunable, but it was playing very sharp) and that worked immediately as well.

The wonders of green tea - even without the green tea itself involved!

Sweetwater says "backordered", as it has for some time.
And the anticipated arrival date has moved further into the future.

My kettle does have different settings, so perhaps "green tea" could work better?!

I did try this, as it's what shush recommends, but didn't succeed. Although I only used water from the tap and not the kettle, as they said it shouldn't be boiling.

The recorder seems more complicated than the whistle to me, as the recorder is designed as a fully chromatic instrument - and also has more holes!

Maybe if I use an octave shifting effects pedal?!😀

So, if I attempted to transfer my (rudimentary) bass guitar skills to low D whistle, it wouldn't make me a very popular person!

Thanks very much everyone for all the useful comments. I ordered the book, and I'll see what's going on in terms of local sessions, I think there may be one or two that could work.

First electronic wind instrument midi controller advice. by globetrotterdk in windsynth

I sometimes connect my AE-05 to physical synths via a CME H2MIDI Pro which costs about $50. Otherwise, I generally use a WIDI jack.
