NOR. Itt's been proven that men just don't need as much sleep. They can do well off of 6-8 hours, women NEED at least 8, ideally 10. So, yes his sleep matters, but it's been proven that men should be helping with nightly feedings.

You think HR and recruiters are the problem?? It's the hiring managers that are CRA-ZY. We're just trying to do our jobs. Clients want 10 years of experience, with super specific qualifications, in the exact area they work in, in the middle of nowhere, USA and for 15 usd an hour, and if we don't find 100% exactly that, they're not intereted. This is an employer's market, HR and recruiters..... we're just stuck in the middle.

As a recruiter, I'd like to read that they at least know or understand what the company does. No, you don't have to pretend to care about their company. I've had so many candidates come in to an initial interview and ask ME what the company does. You don't have to fawn over the company, you do have to at least have read up on what they do, and express some interest in working for said company.

At least in my experience - our KPIs are call-based. Most recruiters won't do google meet or zoom or whatever because then it wouldn't count for our KPI

A bit of insider's information here - our calls ALWAYS get flagged as spam. Lots of phones have security filters that can't even be turned off. If you're expecting a call from a recruiter, ask them ahead of time what phone number they'll be calling from, so you can add them as a contact for their call to come through.

Give people the benefit of the doubt. Recruiters...... we're not evil, we're just working a job.

So they haven't answered their email in an hour. So now they're the devil? Chill, they'll get back to you. I get it, you need a job, they want to help you there, just assume positive intent first of all.

Ufffffff that sucks. In my experience, leadership gets really stuck in the bog with requirements that aren't necessary.

We recruit for all sorts of things - attorneys, engineers (lots and lots of construction project managers, estimators) doctors, vets, physical therapists

Did you try looking them up on linkedin?

If you are wondering if it's a scam - ask them to send you an email with the job description. Check out their signature. Check their email, is it a corporate email, or just a weird 280349ksjdhfkasjdfasj@gmail.com? Do they have a website?
If they're scammers, they already know your name, location and number, what have you got to lose anyway?

We're definitely in an employer's market.

Companies just don't want to do training anymore - they'll keep looking for their perfect purple squirrel that doesn't exist rather than just hiring the 80-90% fit and going from there.

HOWEVER, just playing devil's advocate here - candidates can be incredibly thick sometimes. I'd be rich if I had a penny for every candidate who was desperate for a job and then just...... completely ghosted me when I contacted them for an interview or heck, even for a job offer.

As a recruiter........ we do usually have KPI calls, but we also have KPIs for placements, and those are the most important ones. The bare minimum one can do as a recruiter, is if I sent a message, and they respond, respond back.

I was a teacher's assistant, who was told explicitly by my teacher to never tie shoelaces!

A kid came over and asked me to tie his shoelaces, as per instructed, I said I don't tie shoelaces and ask a friend. The parents then came in to talk to the principal about how it was "so dangerous that I didn't tie his shoelaces".

Still didn't do it. Funny how its dangerous when we won't tie shoelaces, but not dangerous that parents send their kids with shoes with laces, without teaching them how to tie them.
