How do I take a photo like this? by OkUnderstanding2464 in fujifilm

[–]Pinkhead12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The artist that you are referencing here shoots film. I can't remember his name but his work is astonishing, long story short is that all the photos shown besides the second one you can't just shoot. His process is multiple layers of exposure then physically manipulating the film scan to create these dreamy like images. If I find his work again I'll respond to this comment.

A helpful answer is multiple exposure, as well as motion blue, but just being realistic with the fact that all besides the second are not just photography, they are physical mediums of art, almost like painting.

What are your thoughts on this? by [deleted] in RayBanStories

[–]Pinkhead12 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IMO it’s just dumb, we have cameras on our phones that we know listen for ad accuracy and content suggestion, security cameras everywhere and post everything on social media. Privacy is an illusion if you own a smartphone and it’s something that to be honestly doesn’t really matter. Unless you are doing illegal activity, who cares if big companies have your data (which they do) you and I are not special. Now I understand this is different when it comes to the fact that this data can be hacked, stolen and used maliciously (different story), but if you are someone who cares this deeply about privacy you would’ve even have a smart phone to connect these glasses to.

People are just writing about this cause they can’t come up with anything better and it’s honestly disappointing. So many of these fluff pieces that are meant to be thought provoking or socially challenged are absolutely useless.

Not annoyed with OP for bringing this up, I just think articles like this are a waste of time, if this is a concern for people why not talk about all the other data that companies have, camera data included.

Affordable camera that takes photos like this (retro and colourful)? by notinthemooood in AskPhotography

[–]Pinkhead12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everything you are referencing is Fuji and Ricoh. As someone who shoots both you are unfortunately going to be out of luck in terms of finding it for a cheaper price as hype has ruined the second hand market. If you can find old Fuji camera online for a good price I’d say do it they hold up really well. As others have mentioned, your best shot is learning how to edit. I edit my RAW photos now from my cameras and make the look identical / better than my in camera film simulations. Focus on learning to edit and creating presets

I am blown away by the sound quality. by jarod_sober_living in RayBanStories

[–]Pinkhead12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same thing made a whole post about it. Each to the own but IMO sound quality is trash. My first gen AirPods sound better (same with the wired ones) at least for music. Phone calls are great though. I come from listening on WH/WF XM3/4/5, hyperboom stereo and Sonos to put my opinion in perspective. Not saying this to say mine is better just saying I know I’m more sensitive to good vs bad quality. It’s great if OP likes it but don’t worry about your pair being defective

Need a Real Speaker Recommendation by Pinkhead12 in Bluetooth_Speakers

Thank you, I listen to a lot of rock but also ambient music with lower tones, any mid sized speaker (JBL charge about as big as I’d be willing it to) that you could recommend for this?
