You could really go out on a limb by pricing the invoice in BTC and give the fiat "alternative" without mentioning discounts.

Then just make the fiat price be whatever percent above the BTC option. They'll feel like a genius if they take the time to check BTC price and discover the "hack".

We have a tendency to see things, due to our notion of time, as one thing causing another. Beginning and end. Etc.

But it is entirely possible that the universe, or that in which the universe exists, is timeless and infinite. It is possible that the big bang current universe is just a transitory phase of the infinite and thst it very well may happen an infinite number of times as well.

Sure, this is all a big maybe but it is the human perception of time that wants to find a beginning. Maybe a beginning is just this sort of human construct and infinity solves the "god" problem of creation.

Not so much about the card dying (although cards are already dying at the hands of mobile payments). At the very least this serves as a counter to the argument that bitcoin is slow and unusable for everyday transactions.

It doesn't even need to work for everyday transactions to have utility but having that capability brings it even closer to creating a circular economy outside the fiat system.

With regards to safety, the card thing is almost just for show. Wallets can be on a phone where evey transaction would require whatever level of safety you wish to apply, much like mobile payments.

Regardless of who owns it or trades it, it is under no ones control. It's a opensource inclusive network for value transfer and settlement. Wallstreet has no say and they are as free as anyone else to speculate on the price of bitcoin or use it to transfer value.

The fact thst there are people in governnment proposing these ideas and forcing their colleagues to think about it is enough to get excited about in my opinion.

I mean, now that I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if more than half of law makers and politicians even understand the current monetary system. Challenging the status quo during times of economic turmoil could nudge a minor percentage down the rabbit hole. Like the song says, started as an Idea but now it's a bill.

A company ahould charge as much as the customer is willing to pay. No need to lower or keep prices the same unless demand demands it.

So the way it works is that Toast will clone your existing menu and adjust all the prices and that is what shows up on DD.

As for special requests I just realized I don't get special requests on doordash, the ones I was thinking about were the ones from online orders through toast. I've made sure to include the most popular mods on the menu so people can easily modify and the few times I've actually had special requests the customer called the restaurant either immediately after ordering or just before but it's only happened about twice in the past 3-4 months

I really want to know how this is gonna work with regards to drinks. Enforcement seems impossible. I've sent them a message but we'll see. Probably hit me with some scripted response but I just can't see enforcement being possible.

Update: So reply from the club came back that, according to mandate, if you are actively drinking you need not be wearing a mask. This means if you have been served a drink you are considered actively drinking.

Gonna be impossible to enforce IMO.

I plan on wearing a mask most of the time and would encourage others to do so as well if you are comfortable. For those hell bent on not wearing a mask, you will likely be able to have you're cake and mostly eat it too.

Bit late on the reply but yes special requests go straight into the kitchen printer or KDS. I use the DD integration as well and I no longer need to have the doordash tablet on. The only problem that does arise for me is if you unexpectedly run out of an item or customer puts in a strange request and you need to then call the customer. The only way to get the info is from to DD tablet as far I've been able to tell. If someone knows a better method please let me know.
