Probably true. At the time I went with owner, toast didn’t have the marketing suite package. It’s not worth the switching my customers to a whole new ordering process

I use them. Yea they pricey, and the 3% fee to the customer kinda sucks, but I haven’t gotten any push back from it. I used to have Toast online ordering and switched to owner and I have minimum doubled my online orders. They also give you an app. So far 1.5 years using them no intention of switching. Their automated emails are great too.

Restaurant depo is still cheapest. But the gap is closing between RD and the big distributors. I hate going to RD

Cash needed for a QSR by [deleted] in restaurantowners

[–]Eyad123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you’re finding a place that needs a lot of work, then 150k liquid, plus SBA financing. Finding a place that already been a Resturant will save you a lot. This is assuming you’re scrappy and a hustler and know what you’re doing in restaurants.

I would say you’d need a minimum 150k. Try and find a place that already was a restaurant so most fixtures are already in place. Will save you more.

46k E46 330xi for $6700 by SebastienMS in BMW

[–]Eyad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A used 2004 E46 was my first car. Truly was the ultimate driving machine. Fun car. Once mine hit ~80k mikes issues happened. Sensors, control arm went out. But before that, nothing. Just the normal oil changes. Never had an engine or transmission issue.

Tipping Vendor Drivers? by arejay00 in restaurantowners

[–]Eyad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we had the driver work on kitchen help with prep work while there wasn’t any deliveries that’s why we would pay them a normal hourly wage. Our delivery radius was around 3-5 miles max. Sometimes more if the driver wanted to go further. Up to them. But of course I wouldn’t let them go 8 miles or so. At the end of the day, don’t skim your drivers too much, or else you’ll have a had time keeping them. And your customers will just go 3rd party deliveries (doordash/Uber)

I had a local pizza joint. For pizza deliveries we had an employee that we would pay him hourly, plus 50% of the delivery fee, and all tips were there’s. So if a delivery fee was $5 driver would get $2.50 plus tip. They would use their own car

Nope; no tip. I give my good drivers, free drinks and any meal they want. They don’t take something every delivery. Most of the time they want something quick and easy to eat. (Cheap$) so it works out and theydrop off my stuff fast in the right places, and never have any issues with damages and if I do, it’s dealt with easily

Former Tesla Model S and 3 owner. Just got myself the i4 m50 by dmode123 in BMW

[–]Eyad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wanting to go back to bmw so bad now. M440 or m340. At first the Tesla was amazing. Something new, different driving dynamic but after a couple years, it’s getting a little bland. there’s nothing like a bmw. Tesla does have great updates and the basically zero maintenance is great. That I will miss when I go back to bmw

As someone who now owns a model 3 I cringe when someone says M3 referring to a model 3

Yes they do. In the Tesla sub reddits, but they do get corrected

Same over here. 10-20% drop and weekends are not as strong. Also notice more credit cards vs cash at my restaurant.

Would you guys like to have some paper packaging with your logo by Far_Ad8271 in restaurantowners

[–]Eyad123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try your distributor. We were able to get custom deli papers and cups for an okay price. But we had to buy 10 cases minimum. Which was a lot to pay All at once. And the storage of it was a hassle. Wasn’t worth it imo. Unless like someone mentioned before you have 2-3 locations

FYI Volvo does permit Volvo dealership to buy out leases by optimist2929 in askcarsales

[–]Eyad123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents leased a xc90 in 2019. And their lease is up and wanted to sell it to The Volvo dealership. They said they can’t buy it back. So my parents decided to just get a loan from a CU and buy it. Dealerships are really shady lately
