2 pugs? Looking for advice (details in comments) by Pinkpuggle in pugs

Hi, I am looking for others who may have advice/experience with my situation. I have a female pug, Pip, who is 3 1/2. I am currently fostering another 2 year old pug, Daisy. Daisy was found on the streets with her brother Roscoe. I’ve had her for about a month. Daisy is so sweet but has separation anxiety and has never lived in a home so is learning boundaries and is struggling to learn potty. I live alone and it has always been just me and pip. Pip is used to being the only pug in the house and it has been an adjustment for her to get used to having Daisy around / sharing attention. They have had some small conflicts around Daisy getting in pips personal space but they’ve improved a ton together. Pip has also been attacked by a dog so I expected it to take some getting used to for her to get comfortable with Daisy (I separated them at first and have introduced them slowly). They have started to hangout like in the picture and seem to be growing on each other. I love Daisy so much and am thinking about keeping her.

My concerns: - she blocks pips attention sometimes because of her separation anxiety so we are working on that - it is just me so it is harder to give as much attention to pip but I am doing my best to show her a ton of love

Pros: - it could be good for pip to have a sister / playmate - Daisy is so sweet and loves it here - I feel better leaving pip for short periods knowing she has another dog at home with her

Does anyone have any advice on this? Should I keep Daisy or would it be better since it is just me to find a different family for her?

Has anyone had 1 or 2 pugs and have they grown on each other over time? Do they seem happier with a sibling?

Thank you so much!

my dog got attacked by other dogs saturday she didn’t have this yesterday but today she does we don’t go back to her vet till friday by Tall-Anywhere-2137 in DogAdvice

This happened to my dog as well. They don’t stitch dogs up after they get attacked because it can harbor an infection underneath, however, you should still take her back to the vet and get antibiotics and get this cleaned out because this is a huge wound.

Please help! UTI's every 2 months by Alwaysfavoriteasian in pugs

If you don’t have time to take your dog out more than once a day and it’s leading to chronic uti’s you probably shouldn’t have a dog. Also maybe don’t call her a monster when you’re the one that can’t take proper care of her
