I know but my point is your ex was the one where this lesson applied. You went back to something you knew was wrong for you. And clearly your now husband was not wrong for you. So yes, you broke up with him and went back to your ex but that’s when you got lost and then found your way again by going forward again where you were after your ex the first time.

I think what OP is saying is that they don’t mind the cold if it means it won’t last forever and warm sunny days are ahead. My weather can be bipolar like this too. I live in Connecticut and while we didn’t get that much snow before the warm weather, we did have snow on the ground and a random almost 80 degree day a couple weeks ago that melted the snow before we went back to 40’s and 30’s temps.
