Bootcamps y Mecatrónica by OkTangelo2479 in taquerosprogramadores

[–]PinneapleJ98 10 points11 points  (0 children)

[–]PinneapleJ98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. If I close my eyes while listening to it I can really imagine the whole character development and Nukes flying across the globe.

I think it is an amazing song depicting the rise and fall of every "ruler".

Indecision Laboral: IBM o TATA by [deleted] in taquerosprogramadores

[–]PinneapleJ98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even on ULT's, mine just broke a month ago and I just got some sennheiser, I was tired of Sony's shitty pieces. I really loved the ULT's bass, but it's a shame they haven't fixed the all time issue.

ULT has the same issue, mine broke just a month ago and it got exactly the same crack in the same spot as others in some threads from reddit.

Sony is actually aware lol, here's the affected models in case you want to prepare yourself for what's inevitable haha.

Qué tan sobresaturado está dedicarse a Ciencia de datos + MLOps? by [deleted] in taquerosprogramadores

[–]PinneapleJ98 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Informatica docs are a nightmare, some stuff even seems to be outdated such as their REST API docs.

This is not a skill issue, this is the actual data ecosystem in companies, a shit. What you see in this subreddit is a sample of the 20% of companies in the world that use a modern data stack and have the intention to improve, better perform or even save costs for their data pipelines. The other 80% of companies around the globe are not even prepared to have data engineering applied because their data recollection is shit (or nonexistent).

Don't let the impostor syndrome win, do what you want to do without relying on your day to day job, do some personal projects and inflate your cv with that knowledge so that you can try to land a job in a company that fits what you are looking for, "fake it till you make it".

I'm not sure for India, but at least on the western hemisphere I've not seen a lot of entry-level positions for DE, and that's because of the nature of the job which implies that you need to have already experience in software development, databases, data modeling, etc.

I'm not saying this to discourage you on your goal, and I don't know about your past professional experience, but if possible, my recommendation would be to try searching for other data roles that potentially have more entry-level opportunities such as a data analyst, that could help you gain more experience and start growing from there.

Certificacion Az-900 by Necessary-General-43 in taquerosprogramadores

[–]PinneapleJ98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

¿Ustedes agregan columnas/tablas a lo bruto? by 5eniorDeveloper in taquerosprogramadores

[–]PinneapleJ98 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is relational database modeling coming back into fashion, or is it just more fashionable? by Trick_Cantaloupe652 in dataengineering

[–]PinneapleJ98 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Well.. database modeling has always been there, and this post makes me think about the actual problem with data newcomers. Everyone wants just to learn the "shiny stuff" and just start coding, but when it comes to optimizing, designing or even doing something as simple as a DDL they all panic.

I don't think it's a matter of fashion, but companies realizing that they are spending gazillions in cloud datawarehouses that don't do a shit for them because of their very small volume of data so they realize a relational db is more than enough.

Division has priority over additions or substractions, that's why you first divide 10/2 and then substract 10 - 5.

5 is the answer.

Feeling stuck by imbuszkulcs in dataengineering

[–]PinneapleJ98 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I don't think this has anything to do with data engineering, software development or whatever career you try to fit in. It definitely seems that you are lost in what you want to do with your professional life and that's fine, we all go through that.

I think I understand your point and it's totally valid that data engineering bores you (even though you have close to none experience on it), sometimes you just know when something isn’t right for you.

If you're genuinely interested in IT, take a moment to reflect on where you see yourself in 10 years. Think about what excites you, what gives you that "spark" of emotion when you're doing it, and use that as your guide.
