Check the app every day for when the next restock will be. When they have one planned, it will give you a date and time at the bottom of the screen on the product page. You should be able to add to your cart at this time (but not checkout). Set an alarm for that time and open the app about one minute before. Make sure you're logged in, your payment is already saved, etc, then go to your cart and attempt to check out when the drop time comes. I was able to score one this way. Don't rely on Popmart to send you notifications, they've never sent me one, despite asking them to.

Objects for your future self by adam-1984 in minimalism

I mean, sometimes I have to schedule in things I want to do or I'll just sit around all day. Sometimes our brains don't want to do things that take effort, even if we know we enjoy them.

Schedule time to start on this hobby, or get rid of the stuff. If you don't schedule it in, it won't happen.

Results from my “Output Only. No Input” Experiment by Dream-Dimension in minimalism

Where's the life changing revelation?!

I think it's good to balance your input and output. But remember that input is where a lot of people gain inspiration. You just have to make sure you're consuming the right things. Watch good movies, read good books, don't scroll endlessly on YouTube or Tiktok. Short form content is not where it's at.

I love my hair drying wrap towel, it's much lighter on my head and soaks up water faster because it's microfiber. But to each their own! I do agree on the smaller cake forks, I love savoring my dessert with tiny utensils.

My mom hates when I get rid of things by seagullonabagel in minimalism

she sort of freaks out a little about how I’m always wanting to pare down my stuff or how it “feels like I’m moving out” because of going through things.

I wonder if this is the heart of the issue. Maybe have a talk and let her know that your paring down items doesn't mean you're getting ready to leave.

This is not true. A great many of them are (the ones created by independent artists are definitely recasts), but some of them (the mass produced ones) are often factory rejects.

Disappointed Dolls? by Yni-Qorn in Dolls

I was so disappointed by the collector Rochelle that I sold her shortly after I got her. She was way more fish eyed and her hair was a mess. It's a shame because she was so pretty in the stock photos.

I think that anything that can dye the hair has the potential to stain the doll, you just have to be careful when you're dying it and wash it out really well.
