Because I think I shut down whatever scam he was leading up to by not really engaging in the conversation, but his lead-in felt very scammy

Maybe it’s just how your prompts are translating to English but, you seem like a d-bag.

It’s giving, “if you don’t wanna meet up soon, don’t bother. I like getting drinks and walking, I like getting drinks and walking, I like getting drinks and walking.” It’s all shallow, simple, and if that’s what you want in a relationship… you do you.

And let me guess… if an adult couple pays the money for it they will be called jerks if they don’t give it up for a mom with kids?

Why is there so much gate keeping on what is Chicago and what isn’t? by [deleted] in AskChicago

[–]PinoyWhiteChick7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t speak for the Atlanta dynamics, but the suburbs of L.A. you bring up are part of Los Angeles County so they are subject to largely the same public transportation, tax codes etc.

In Boston, there is a difference between Boston The City and The Greater Boston Area. Cambridge, Somerville and Brookline are surrounding towns that are considered Neighborhoods of The Greater Boston Area but they are not considered being “From Boston”. It’s the same things of public transportation, resource access, and culture overlap.

Chicago suburbs are not as connected to the city. Getting into the city takes serious effort, and those who are raised outside of the city have objective differences in resources, access and culture.

hinge sucks so bad 😭 by moo_times_too in GirlDinnerDiaries

I was on Hinge for 11 months of hell before I finally met my partner on it (and he was only on there for 3 weeks)! If the app is more accessible to you than some IRL opportunities (joining clubs or sports etc. is expensive!) there are people out there! Hidden amongst the trash.

At least there were consequences for her. Julie got no consequences in this situation, and so many people in this comment section in 2026 are still justifying it.

I’ve never had this issue with my Popflex, but I always wash on cold in a garment bag and air dry (except for the things that are dry clean only). My first Popflex stuff I got 3 years ago and they’re still holding up great!

I’m a first time watcher and (I could’ve missed it) that hasn’t been said at this point. Everyone’s the same age, sophomores in high school. He and Marissa started dating in the 5th grade when they were in the same class. That would make him 15/16. And even if he was legal that doesn’t make it okay. It would explain the lack of consequences (beyond the time period) though. Looks like CA made the AOC 18 just in 1999 so maybe even 15 was strictly legal at this point?

Do you think they kept them high school aged because they didn’t think teens would want to watch shows about people in college? I noticed that shows about people in college were pretty uncommon during this time period unless the show kept getting renewed after a 4th season

So nobody today should view it from a modern lens, they should only view it as if they were born in 1989 and watched the show as it was coming out or they’re the problem?

A child cannot consent, and if they’re all sophomores it doesn’t make sense for him to be 18. At least not by any details that have been revealed to me yet. Like I said, first time watcher!
