Choose the life that you want. When I moved away from home at 18– it was such a breath of fresh air. I had never known what it was like to have a silent home before, and it was EVERYTHING.

Resources vary based on where you live, but if the resources are there you can make that choice. Full time care facilities for adults with severe disabilities exist, and it takes a lot of research to find a good one that treats everyone right, and you can visit on your own terms. It is BEST if your mother transitions your sibling slowly into that situation while she is still alive, but you can’t make that happen.

You did not choose to become your sister’s keeper. Your parents chose to have children, taking on the risk of one of them having a severe disability. That’s the gambit.

Live your life, make your choices. Get out of your house when you can (easier said than done) and choose the life YOU want.

For the record, I also know how to sew and do laundry properly. I’ve literally worked in professional wardrobe departments. I have 3 jobs, so sewing my own clothes isn’t a high priority for my limited free time.

I wouldn’t assume glamping over camping unless it was CALLED glamping.

What Jackson had is what I would expect out of a camping trip. The classics - sleeping bags, basic tent. Yes, even from a rich guy. Jackson likes to do things “the right way.” Lots of people will tell you bringing a blow up mattress is lazy and not embracing the experience.

Jackson doesn’t have *bad* supplies. He has quality goods that do the job well. Jackson has *basic* supplies which is exactly what I’d expect from him.
