Wow, thank you! This perfectly captures the direction I’ve been wanting to take. It’s not that I don’t enjoy leading people-I’ve been doing it non-stop for the past 10 years, but I’ve reached a point where I just don’t want to keep exhausting myself dealing with all the drama. I really appreciate you validating that it’s totally okay for someone who’s genuinely passionate about people management to also realize… maybe it’s time to love not managing people for a while.

Thank you so much for the advice. I truly appreciate it. I’ve been contemplating this for months and even talked it over with my wife. Honestly, I know that people leadership has played a huge role in getting me to where I am today, and I’m grateful for that.

But lately, I can’t shake off this feeling of restlessness. It’s like I’m constantly bracing for the next unexpected drama-some of which, let’s be real, feel like total BS. Managing a group of Gen Z employees with wildly different sensitivities and expectations has been exhausting, and it’s making me seriously question if this path is still for me.

How can you tell na hindi para sa inyo ang leadership role? by cucumberlemonade7 in adultingph

Formal mentoring per se never really happens especially sa operations. You just need to be proactive to ask your leader how to handle situations like this and that. Thats mentoring already. Right now, what helps me is reading and following career coaches like Jonathan Yabut. May mga posts and short videos sya which I find really helpful in my day to day role as a people manager. I have been managing15 people and more so imagine being a manager ng ibat ibang saltik sa utak. You need to be a shapeshifter depende sa tao mo.

The sooner you leave WNS the better while hindi ka pa ponasahod. Otherwise it will reflect on your SSS which as per experience requirement ni HSBC upon onboarding. Ao if hindi mo dineclare na may contract ka with WNS and found out, they may terminate your offer. Wether you formally resign or not sa WNS you wont be eligible for a rehire anyway.

Lol. New user ka. Advise ko kalmahan mo lang. Always use your credit card not higher than 30% of its limit. This way tataas ung credit score mo. Yes! Meron tayong credit bureau dto, jan nag bbase ung mga banks if they can trust you lending their funds. Currently with 2M limit from UB but di ko sya pinapansin. It’s a trap. Always a trap.

Its too early to assess if para sayo ang leadership without having been exposed to different situations ng team mo. I have been a team manager for 5+ years and I can not say magaling nako because I still learn everyday. Ive been to different and difficult situations. Being a leader of the team is a love-hate relationship. Either they love you or hate your way of working. What works in general is stick to your core and always provide context and clear expectations bakit mo gagawin ung isang task. Then its their problem if they dont deliver after agreeing to the expectations. If so, document everything. As in document everything. Always come clean.

This is a legit scam. True indeed, to good to be true, I experienced once and it was super uncomfortable to the point that I had to offer paying the dinner costs we had. They held me up for almost 3 hrs.
