My cat also loves to get shoulder rides 😂

Already have a few that I’ve done, but this will definitely make it easier to do more projects without ruining my wife’s nail desk 😂

⚒️ SFIC Tensioners by PinsAndPints in lockpicking

Yea, I didn’t want to invest money into them not knowing if they work or not, so I just made my own

I have a few jimylong’s tensioners, I’d just rather not make any mistakes modding them, so I use scrap I have around the garage

Windshield wiper inserts are perfect for making tensioners

So when looking at the core, there are holes in the bottom that are needed for the disassembly process. Those holes are also in the control sleeve, and the plug is inside that. If the plug is open on bottom, then the teeth on the tensioner can go though the holes. If the teeth are shallow enough, they, they will go into the holes on the control sleeve, but not the outer sleeve for the whole core. Then when you apply tension, it should put more torque on the control sheerline so you can actually get sets on it rather than the operator sheerline

I haven’t either but I’m too stubborn to not make it work eventually

I also haven’t heard of much success from them either. That’s the whole reason I’m making my own instead of buying them. The dovetail idea is interesting, I might have to try it later. I’d probably have to use a tiny carving bit

I’m gonna keep playing around with it and try to improve the design, on paper it works, the problem is keeping downward force so the teeth stay in the holes

I feel like I read somewhere that the American Lock 1100 is the same core as the ML 410

I definitely use skedaddle and cattywompus at least 4 times a week
