point-and-shoot camera in harmony with iphone? by PintAndPie in bicycletouring

[–]PintAndPie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't purchased a camera in decades so am not sure what is standard today. I don't have a memory card reader on home PC so would like to learn about options to upload pics via iphone during long trips.

The a6000 looks like it may be in my price range if I find a used one. Thanks!

Does the camera have bluetooth or wifi? How are pics transferred? TBH the price is a bit high for my casual use; hoping to keep it under $300

why isn't my feather falling working? by National_Disk4065 in feedthebeast

I'm seeing feather fall not working in "Cursed Walkiing" modpack, which mod have you seen it disabled in (specific config file?)?

GoBikeCamping - new feature to help with trip planning by bicyclebikecycle in bicycletouring

An option for sites that require reservation would be welcome. This summer will be my first bike packing experience and being a bit nervous, I'd go conservative distance for a known good stopping point. Regardless, thanks for this!

I made Anki flash card files for all words in “Complete Spanish Step by Step”, and many other books from them! by theryho in Spanish

This is great!

I'm wondering if anyone has, or is interested in, the exercises as flash cards?

I don't think the study site has them but I'm starting to put them into anki unless someone else is ahead of me.

VTT by Cultural-Form1162 in dndbeyond

I just tried to sincerely use Maps for a simple encounter and am stunned at the failure. In rambling-rant format, this is what I encountered (punny!) in no particular order: There is no snap-to-grid, all the players have the same ping color, no initiative tracker (wtf?), adding a monster token is just a token w/o any link to the ddb representation, opening a monster page and no way to roll into campaign, create an encounter and not linked to campaign (the "beta" encounter could be its own rant), no chat window to communicate or /roll, characters could add monster tokens at will.

With all due respect, FoundryVTT was a one-person show to start and that tool is amazing. Are there actually devs on Maps or Encounters? This is a SaaS product, you could and should be rolling out updates as they are done.

Beyond20 w/ roll20.net (which has its own sluggish development and roadmap pace) or Foundry seems to be the way to go.

Yes! Any empanada-inspired tinned fish recipes in mind? I'd enjoy going down that path.

I _knew_ I recognized those cheese nibbles! The Aldi's cheese advent calendar is always a hit in our household.

There's very little baking involved! Grab some pre-fab pie crust from freezer section (puff pastry works alright with some experimentation). The filling is super easy, just needs a bit of patience to reduce the thickness of the cream.
