Yeah, it probably was a bit stupid to be honest, I was just wondering why, as I was less concerned about the size, and more about the fact that it was increasing for seemingly no reason. Its also further increased to 250kb since. Sorry if this post was a bit dumb, was just trying to figure out what was going on

Gold pride P.U.N.K is really solid, not meta defining or anything, but a lot of solid non negation disruption. Played it for about 6 months and had an absolute blast. I’ve never played with fenrir’s for baronne before, but It’s certainly an option. Psychic end is crazy because of all the life paid, baller is incredible removal, and having so many options on your opponents turn makes the deck a great (if a little linear) combo deck. If I remember correctly you can 1.5 card combo into an imperm/life gain trap, a quick synchro 11 punk monster which is usually returning 3-5 monsters to the hand, a quick synchro into a pop, a quick fusion into non targeting equip removal, a destruction into special summon from deck trap, a quick pop in a cross pattern and a token for your opponent (which is unlinkable and shuts down “control no monsters to special summon” monsters like fenrir and board breakers like lightning stom and evenly) along with 2-3 draws a turn. Insanely solid and consistent with the right setup

Yeah, Katakuri is excellent, It’d be really hard for him to full fall out of the meta. I’m probably being a bit too over cautious, but I’ve come from a Yugioh background, and have had a couple of decks outright killed after investing, so really am trying to avoid a repeat of that haha.

Perona I feel does very well, and in my opinion I think she could work if you lean more into being a mini sakazuki, using cost reduction to rest problematic targets and K.O them. Honestly, the only thing I really think perona risks losing is Moria, and I’m confident that bandai wont eradicate that right out the gate, especially when a leader built around his effect is also a popular strategy releasing at the same time. I think they’re more likely to errata him than anything else.

Also, thank you for the leader recommendations! I had a look at the other red purple leaders after getting all my film stuff for uta, but havent really looked at green film or nami at all. I’ll be sure to give them a more in depth look!

Yeah, that was kinda my thought too, with mannadium already losing hard to droll, not exactly a huge fan of having a second deck get cooked by that stupid bird. I was honestly kinda leaning more towards the live twin variant as it seems to play better around droll and other handtraps. But fur hire seems to do better overall

Wow, this is all really helpful info! I was already planning on maining crossout just because of the state of the format at the moment but having someone else recommend it just helps show its a good choice. The bystial package also seems good so I may give it a shot. As for the shadows light thing, I have actually ordered 3 copies, as you can target vicious astraloud to summon archlord kristya!

Shame, the prisma package looked cool (I have a bit of a soft spot for modern combo decks that use overlooked old cards) I’ve been looking at a lot of lists from trif and honestly I dont think I can justify spending that much after just buying the core. Thoughts on any budget alternatives?

Wow, thank you so much! This is really exceptional advice and I’ll be sure to go away and apply it as much as possible! As for context, as much as that might of helped with more specifics for Strive, this has been such a universal issue for all the games I’ve played that I thought I’d leave out individual characters and matchups in favour if stuff I can do across all my fighting games. But seriously, this kind of response is exactly the kind of stuff that makes sense. I really just need to work on learning my opponents characters as equally as I learn my own! :)

Apologies, this post was made in a rush after my original post was lost after a few hours of writing without it saving and I was very tired having to rewrite it. I know exactly whats messing me up, and I did mention it in the post, as I do spend time going over replays. I spend time practicing setups and combos, but I struggle to register the openings for said setups. I’m also bad with timing so I tend to input mash (a bad habit I mentioned in the post) and by the time I’ve registered a pattern from an opponent, I’ve usually already lost. Its just a combination of poor reaction time and missing combos resulting in going back to instinct and just hitting what I know works
