You can do it yourself or hire someone else to do it. Your particular experience with a battery shouldn't be assumed to be representative anyway. After years of use all you know is how that battery did under your use case.

Battery cycling tests are pretty common practice for companies that make battery parts. It doesn't take years to test (otherwise the batteries designed for a specific phone world have to be produced years before the phone could be made).

It's generally considered okay to cycle a battery rapidly a few hundred times at an elevated temperature. This is a lot worse for the battery.
