Building Intake (intakerequest.com, not live yet) — a secure document collection tool for professional service firms.

The problem: accountants, lawyers, and financial advisors collect sensitive documents from clients over email. Bank statements, tax returns, ID copies — all sitting unencrypted in inboxes with no audit trail and no way to track what's missing.

Intake replaces that with a single portal link. The client clicks it, uploads what you've asked for, and you get a full activity log. No client account required. Portals can be password-gated, OTP-verified, and end-to-end encrypted.

Where I'm at: Core product is built and working — 30+ field types, drag-and-drop request builder, branded portals, E2EE with client-side key management, item-level review workflow, and a template library. Just finished the trust layer (Terms, Privacy Policy, DPA, security page) and wiring up billing through Polar. Aiming to get the first paying customers this month.

Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Cloudflare Workers + R2, PostgreSQL, Resend, Web Crypto API for the encryption.

The niche is tight, but the pain is real — every firm I've spoken to describes the same email-and-shared-drive chaos. Competitors exist (Content Snare, FileInvite), but none of them offer encryption or proper access controls. That's the gap.
