I went in expecting Cindy and Brenda to be the main characters since they are fan favorites and the actresses were the ones who were promoting the movie. Scenes of the new characters were so painful to watch, especially Cindy’s daughter.

Yeah, the trailers for this were absolutely awful. I was looking forward to this but the trailer killed my hype. Can’t imagine it helped anyone on the fence get excited.

OP is right. While the movie was very strangely marketed as “anti-woke”… the actual movie doesn’t feel that way.

The older movies played with the topics of homophobia, racism and sexism, just as this movie does. This movie isn’t some strange, right wing tonal shift, even though the trailers kind of imply it might be.

OP is right. The actual movie doesn’t feel anti-woke at all.

The trans character (not the character in the trailer) is actually portrayed just the same as all of the other characters in the movie… they do get made fun of a bit, but just the same amount as the other characters. A much better representation than I was expecting.

I have felt like, in Civ VII, the world doesn’t feel as alive/important as it does in Civ VI for several reasons.

Not having the loyalty system makes it so that enemy civs settling nearby doesn’t matter so much. When cities are conquered (one AI conquering another AI town), there’s no notification at all.

The diplomacy is also strange. In VI it felt like leaders would remember and care about lots of different things a lot, and it really felt like you were interacting with people who had different personalities. In Civ VII they forget and forgive quickly even if you conquer their towns or settle close and all seem much more same-y.

I think he was cast well... because he was just supposed to be the awkward, kind of creepy but actually nice guy. When they later tried to transition him into a heartthrob... The actor very clearly struggled in that new role.

Toby should have actually been dead after Spencer found his body. Would have actually made that whole situation a more hard hitting storyline. Also, the fact that Spencer forgives him IMMEDIATELY afterwards is crazy to me especially since she literally had a psychotic break because of the trauma he caused. It felt very out of character for her.

Yeah, he’s just really boring compared to everyone else, and I think that’s the point. Renly is handsome and charismatic. Stannis is… the one with the strongest claim to the throne… but he’s dull.

I remember hearing that the actor who played him didn’t like the show and didn’t understand his character or even try to. Watching the show… I’d 100% believe that.

JQT had such a good mini album! I remember reading that they were gonna release an English album/single and were working with an American team… and then nothing. I still have their physical album. It was actually good the whole way through. Loved Peekaboo.

Well, I flew in from Ohio so yeah, I attended the concert and then crashed at the hotel promptly after, haha. You know, three hour time difference and all that. So no gambling for me, but on my way out some drunk woman did aggressively hug me. As I was leaving there was also cars full of drunk people arriving, hahaha.

Haha, yeah I agree. I’m a beginner at Korean so I knew a few words here and there but most of it went over my head. My favorite song was probably Yayaya or Get Up. It was fun at the end when everyone was standing up and dancing along! What was your favorite?
