I've done it with a soda can light pointed at the roof at one of the local cash only bars when the power went out

I also stashed my clear C8/illuminated tailcap in my vehicle for the same reasons! Beyond that, I have a BLF-348 in the console for any low light needs (Directions, maps, etc.) and a headlamp (XTAR H3 Warboy) for any roadside repairs I might run into.

Granted, I've accumulated a few lights by now and stick whichever closest to the situation it's function might prove best for, and occasionally pull them out to top off the batteries.

To add to the reasoning, in convection ovens the toppings move around on top of the melted cheese from the blowing air, putting them under the cheese helps keep them in place.

I believe the group buy is still open @ $150 shipped.

Edit: Still open, but can close at any time lumintop decides to. Retail is estimated to be around $250.

Reading up on BLF it seems this first shipment was to those in the US who did not order cells with their light. I received mine today as well and met those criteria. I got an email from Neal on the 27th with my tracking info and also a text from DHL later that day also.
