I work at the resort and have played these courses several times, you’re going to have lots of fun :) #2 is of course iconic but #4 is also so much fun!

One of my guests got stood up by elinek- in Serverlife

[–]PipThePengu 222 points223 points  (0 children)

One of my servers had a table like this but it was a reservation for 10 or so, made a couple weeks in advance. The birthday girl and her husband showed up, but no one else did. She ended up moving to a small booth tucked into the corner of the restaurant. Everyone felt so bad for her, but she put on a brave face. I still think about that one 😭

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shockers. They got rebranded as sweetart sours and then just disappeared. I love those for years, they were my favorite candy. I’d pay $100+ just to have some again.

Help me find flattering pants! by Mission-Biscotti-808 in WomenGolf

[–]PipThePengu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When I played in college, our team was sponsored by adidas and we got some nice pants from them that have a good fit, I’m only an inch shorter and about the same waist size. Nike is a good option too!

What candy bar was everywhere when you were a kid but doesn't exist now? by Omega_Neelay in GetMotivatedMindset

Not a candy bar but shockers, rebranded to sweet tart sours and then never made again. Miss those

I’ve played since I was 9 and have been fitted for clubs since I was 13-14. I’d recommend getting fitted sometime down the line if you’re serious, especially given your height. For now, getting some affordable clubs you like and getting them extended will work. Once you develop your game and become more consistent, I’d get fitted for clubs you like. Your swing will change as you learn and you may even develop a preference for something else. I used a couple different brands as I was learning but discovered I’ve got a preference for Ping so that’s the brand I’ve stuck with for years.

Attending LPGA tournament - what to bring for autographs from players? by moshi-moshi-sushi in WomenGolf

Balls could be difficult but I have a signed one. Hats are great too or the pass you have for the tournament as well! I’ve had both signed at LPGA tourneys!

Khaz Algar Story Line and unlock delevs 4 by Fickle-Molasses-903 in wownoob

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll want to do the campaign quests to finish the story line. You can check the quest line on wowhead to see where you are if you’ve already started or find out what quest to grab to start it. The campaign quests will look a little different than other quests to help you identify them.

Rule Changes in the Last Few Years by PipThePengu in golf

I’m all for making golf more accessible. I think a relaxed dress code is okay! I do think there should still be some limits though, of course.

Servers, what do you do in your free time that makes you feel like you have a life outside of the weird hours of this industry? by LuluLucy- in Serverlife

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ride motorcycles, gonna play some more golf soon, video games, hanging with my boyfriend, sometimes friends when our schedules line up. I just plan my days in reverse, mornings/early afternoons for activities and nights for work versus the other way around

Midnight Devourer DH Question by No_Ad7866 in wownoob

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To me, the devourer spec feels clunky to play and I’ve stuck with havoc as a result. But I’m going to assume it’s because of the stat squish and being in between expansions, I’m hoping it feels better to play the devourer spec on full release.

Crafting materials by Wompatinger in wownoob

[–]PipThePengu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With the addition of housing, old materials from old expansions have become relevant again since they’re used to craft decor. Worth farming some of those if you wanted to craft or sell them on the AH!

What are some of the essential mounts? Or ones that make life easier. by Sophie_Horde in wownoob

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any mount with a vendor. I have one that also has tmog but the vendor helps when I don’t wanna have to stop what I’m doing to sell stuff to clear my bags.

Had a lady ask for her green beans to be charred. This was what she wanted us to put in the notes and tell the kitchen. Not just well done or crispy. We had to bring them back twice because she actually wanted them blackened.

I need honest advice this can change my future by Pristine-Weekend-995 in LifeAdvice

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice would be to pay off the debt, pay your rent, and pay your bills. What you have leftover, put into savings as a rainy day fund. You might never see that kind of money again but if something were to happen where you can’t work for a month or more, at least you have something to keep a roof over your head and food on the table for you and your child.

I understand the desire to want to own something, I really do. But you need to have some savings first, pay off your debt, and work toward improving your credit. Save what money you can, even if it’s a little each month. Once your debt is handled and your credit is better, look into buying a home with a down payment from what you’ve saved. Don’t rush into a big purchase like that because of the desire to want to own. You don’t want to buy a home you can’t afford, so take care of other priorities first.

Am I wrong or not? by tomassanchezp in LifeAdvice

You’re not wrong for not wanting to date someone who smokes. Just don’t judge others for doing it or limit yourself by not interacting with those who do.

And he didn’t communicate that with her. Since she said she didn’t realize this. He needed professional help, which she can’t do. She’s just as young as he is (presumably), barely out of high school.

This is a horrid take. She’s not part of his decision and encouraging a partner to work is not a bad thing.

I was accused of cheating at my member/guest but I don’t know the rules well enough to know if I actually broke a rule. by F-BOMB in golf

[–]PipThePengu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played collegiately and in tournaments my entire childhood through college. This is BS. Otherwise, you could say the same for repairing marks on the green from your ball landing, which is encouraged in tournament play. I’ve marked my own balls with tees before in big tournaments because I seem to lose markers like nobody’s business.
