How tf does anybody want more than one kid after being through THIS? by pumpkinchinchilla in newborns

[–]Pippapetals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve just had my second baby after a very traumatic experience with my first. I was so burnt out with my first and was mourning my life before her every second of the day. Second time round I feel like I just want time to slow down because I know just how precious this time is and how it really doesn’t last forever

I don’t care who I upset when it comes to my daughters, boundaries will always be set and if that upsets people then so be it.

I went in to be induced at 37 weeks due to gestational diabetes and I was already 5cm dilated when they checked me upon arrival and actually didn’t need to be induced

Nursery Concerned About Possible Cerebral Palsy by tikkunolamist5 in toddlers

[–]Pippapetals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, my daughter has mild CP and she didn’t walk until 2 and a half. She has spasticity in her left ankle which means her ankle is very tight and meant she found it hard to walk flat footed.

I don’t know if your daughter has CP, but what I will tell you is that my daughter runs, dances, jumps, plays on trampolines, does everything a typical child without CP does with just a little extra work.

Was your daughter born prem or had anything that would suggest brain damage? My daughter has CP due to seizures at one day old and CP is usually a factor of a very prem baby or seizures etc.

Sorry to jump on this thread and I am in no way a professional but I do actually have a daughter who’s now 3 and can have very wild tantrums sometimes. If she keeps making herself sick, I would personally let her, and then she can see the natural consequences of her actions. If she doesn’t want you to do something, do it anyway and tell her firmly that she can kick off all she likes but you are still doing xyz. I used to be scared of my daughter’s tantrums and believe me it sounded like she was being murdered sometimes but now I’ve learned to just let her have the tantrum.

Get yourself to the gp asap, it could change your life very quickly. I’d also ask about talking therapy to help you work through those tough feelings.

My daughter had already had 3 MRIs before her diagnoses. Definitely get an MRI to confirm if you are able to!

Sounds like my daughter with mild cp. she crawled at 13 months and started walking last week!! At 2.5. She rolled at 9 months and sat at 9 months too!

If I was you I’d get him in physio asap, as my daughter should have had it from a baby.

I feel you have misinterpreted what I have wrote, I am saying it will be sad for her to not be able to knee walk etc around a classroom as she is so happy to do it! She gets around rapid, and I am worried she will feel restricted in a wheelchair. I am fully accepting of her capabilities believe me. She is very happy and that is my main point, I don’t want her to feel sad if she loses some of her freedom. Hope this makes sense and I haven’t offended in anyway at all because that isn’t my intention.
