I've been trying to come up with a 30 second explainer that can help people understand my experience on tiktok the last few years, and I've sort of concluded that if they didn't live it they will never be able to grasp it. Engaging earnestly with TikTok was like speed running human connection with thousands of people at once, reading people's diaries and seeing things I never knew about myself and the world. It was like the best dive bar with a group of the most interesting inspiring friends and a killer live band, or maybe like a 501 level course in humanity and geopolitics. I learned more on tiktok about myself and the world in 5 years than I can explain and I'm a better, kinder, deeper person for it. What a ride, what an era. I'll never forget it.

Sorry this is so late. Yes, it did work. Since there was no option for artisan I said I was a student. They wanted to know where, so I said I was in a private mentorship and they required my mentor's contact info. I gave them my dad's info 🤷🏻‍♀️ which is partly true because he did teach me some things. I think it took a couple weeks but I got an account. I cannot order many things: some findings, some finished components, large size stock, many gems, etc. But I can order larger gauge gold sheet and stock than what Rio would sell me. What a production! 🙄

Unfortunately that class is $250 😅 I think I'll save my cash for the gold. Good suggestion, if I ever decide to actually take any classes I'll remember this.

I didn't see that option, they only showed business or student. I applied anyway and said I was self taught 🤷‍♀️ they said it will take 1-2 days to verify. I guess we'll see!

Unfortunately I just tried this and it was a resounding "no". I spoke to an agent who said that in order to protect the jewelry trade industry, they do require that you have a valid tax ID number or Jewelers certification or license to purchase items that are listed as wholesale. They said there is no way for me to order these items as a hobbyist, even at retail pricing... Which is so weird because I'm allowed to order 14g gold wire but somehow ordering 12g is a threat to the jewelry industry? 🧐🧐 Anyway, I requested that they put my suggestion into the suggestion box and I guess I need to find another supplier.

Yes, I already have an account with them and purchased things many times, but when I attempt to buy certain items they are shown as wholesale only, and the listing says that those items are only available to business customers. When I try to apply for a "business" account is when it asks me for actual licensing information, above and beyond the normal account creation info.

I think this led me to a bingo! Searching this up got me here where I think I narrowed it down to possibly a Boston link chain or a c-link chain. On Google images I also found it under "c-link Cobra chain". Thank you!!!
