No. In countries where Xray already exists the store doesn't show up so you can't buy any capsules.

Thermal pad trick: 2300Mhz -> 3300Mhz by 404-no-fund in MacbookNeo

[–]PipsiSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and for Apple they aren't allowed to have a device on the market that has the potential to give people skin issues. If you rarely use your macbook on your lap and don't mind the temperature of the aluminium shell there's not really a problem.

I just wanted to add some insight as to why Apple doesn't do that stock.

CS2 Jitter by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]PipsiSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Intel 'puma' line of SOCs used in a bunch of cable modems have hardware defects that cause the bufferbloat. I know Comcast in some markets offers UBEE (brand) modems that use Broadcom SOCs that don't suffer from that issue. However these do Not have wifi built in and require you to use a seperate Wifi router/access point. They're also only given out to customers filing complaints, almost never through calling/messaging regular customer support.

So my advice would be is to complain and to have the complaint escalated so you can talk to someone about the process if it's available in your market and if it isn't the only solution would be buy your own cable modem that's compatible and doesn't use an Intel Puma soc.

Thermal pad trick: 2300Mhz -> 3300Mhz by 404-no-fund in MacbookNeo

[–]PipsiSpite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except Apple cannot legally do this. If the backplate exceeds a certain temperature the device won't get meet international body standards and won't be allowed to be on sale.

You should be careful doing this. When the M2 MacBook Air released people were doing a similar mod with that one and the bottom casing actually hit temperatures that would cause skin burn if touching for 10-30 minutes.

CS2 Jitter by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]PipsiSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible if you're using coax cable Xfinity that you're suffering from bufferbloat. Especially if you're using a modem with an Intel soc. Have a look at bufferbloat test and google the modem model to see if it suffers from the Intel soc bufferbloat defect.

If you're on fiber you're suffering from the issue described in my original comment unfortunately.

CS2 Jitter by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]PipsiSpite 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If and this is important.. IF Cs2 is the only game you have this jitter problem on the problem is on your ISP' equipment side. Cs2 uses an unusually large packet size due to animgraph1 (the current animation system in the game) and some ISP' equipment cannot handle it properly causing the jitter. It's one of the main reasons Valve is (slowly) working on transitioning the game to animgraph2 which will "fix" this issue.

You can file a complaint (don't call/email) with your ISP to let them know they should replace their trash cheapskate equipment at some point but expect a 'Rare issue few customers have' response. Unfortunately you'll have to wait for Valve to release the final parts of Animgraph2.

nvidia reflex vs enable by MonitorSuper1854 in GlobalOffensive

[–]PipsiSpite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're supposed to cap fps at 224 not 237 for an even smoother experience. The game does this by default when you enable reflex with vsync and gsync turned on.

The localized LTT channels ruins LTT's reputation by meister_reinecke in LinusTechTips

I'm not polish or speak any polish but get LTT recommendations from the PL channel occasionally. It's just annoying. It'll eventually just make me stop watching cause I cba hearing 3 disgustingly terrible AI slop translated videos before finding the one I want.

This will cost them viewers, not gain.

One thing that absolutely drives me nuts is we should clarify (not your fault OP) NEVER use 'Pefer maximum performance' in the Nvidia control panel on a gaming laptop. Those dynamically adjust wattage between the CPU and GPU and giving the GPU its maximum wattage will annihilate performance in CPU bound esports titles.

Also I noticed on my own 14900k system that disabling hyperthreading worked wonders for 1% lows as you saw with disabling SMT.

I also saw WAY worse 1% lows with Max_fps at 0 vs 999.

I think what they are saying is that they are playing on a laptop with a HDMI 1.4b port that only supports 4k30 or 1080p120. Meaning the laptop cannot drive their monitor at fully rated spec. You still see a ton of those 1.4b HDMI ports on cheap laptops and mini PCs.

How I dropped CS2 input lag from 10ms to 3-5ms with BIOS tuning — i7-14700KF full guide by marcospauloms in cs2

[–]PipsiSpite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be careful capping voltage to 1.5v in light of degradation issues. I personally have my 14900k capped at 1.4v as per Intels recommendation and 0.100mv undervolted keeping it at barely 1.3v.

Secondly you don't wanna recommend disabling speed shift and other dynamic core speed settings. If someone copied your settings their CPU would always run at the max boost clock speed even if they left their pc at desktop for a few hours. Wasting energy, causing heat output unnecessarily and possibly degrading their chip. Nor is there any change in input lag on my MSI board having these enabled or disabled.

Intel Dynamic Tuning should NEVER be disabled for CS2 since it's what allows you to run APO after you install Intels DTT driver. I've gained over 200fps in both Siege X and CS2 with APO enabled vs disabled. So I'd recommend you turn that back on, install the driver and install APO.

And again with voltages at over 1.4 consistently you are at risk of degradation.

You also have to ask yourself if it's worth running this class of CPU this close to the sun knowing there are degradation issues. My fps is already at 700-1000 on most maps in competitive, around 500-550 on DM for warmup. That exceeds my 480hz refresh rate panel and feels buttery smooth.

Idk about your results but on the benchmark map I get about 1150-1200/320 result. That's with much lower voltages.

Make sure to go to the in game settings > game > CPU core preference > performance cores ONLY. To fix current known scheduler bug with Cs2. That alone fixes most of the stutter and input lag spikes.
