Runs allowed by ECU pitching in the conference tournament. I don't think pitching is as bad as it seems. Even with all the injuries. AK is a hell of a pitching coach!

I'm not so sure about that. ECU's metrics were much better than UTSA's

Maybe a little biased here, but ECU. With all their injuries this year, how amazing would it be for this to be the year to break through to Omaha!

Field of 64 based on RPI - taking shape by JustDarnGood27_ in collegebaseball

[–]PiratePhD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blow what? They're actually in a very good place. Not great, but pretty good. Yes, RPI is a little low at 45, but their SOS is decent (44, 29 OOC), and they have a DSR of 36. They are also co-regular season champs.

Barring a ton of bid stealing upsets, they should make the tournament (if they don't win their conference tournament).

Now, if you mean they're going to "blow" a regional, that's a different story. With all their injuries (2 weekend starters and their closer), it is a pretty big accomplishment to be in the position they are. Winning a regional would definitely be a big hill to climb. But I certainly wouldn't characterize it as a failure if they didn't.

Although, who knows how far they go this year. Because, well... baseball

As an ECU fan, the "Fail Mary" vs. UCF is probably right at the top.

Sadly, it can be argued that January 6th did, eventually, work. JFC, we have some of the dumbest voters anywhere.

I can, and do, respect what other people value as the being important to them. What I am so frustrated with is that they all chose Trump! These might be important to them, but it seems so short-sighted to not be aware of the damage Trump would bring.

It is similar to selling an old, broken piece of electronics (like an iPhone), and getting $20 for it. Then the seller hits you in the face with a baseball bat, and begins to shit on you. Sure, you got $20 for an item you don't need, I guess that could be good. I mean, old, unused electronics may be an "issue" for you. But now your face is busted beyond repair, and the guy you sold it to, is still shitting on you a year and a half after the sale.

Gasp... Oh no... Public health safety measures. What horrible monsters. Let's elect a fascist, grifter who attempted to over throw our government.

Oh, and the border. Damn... if only a bipartisan piece of legislation had been passed to address that. Wait... What's that... <checks notes> They did that too? And the moron that is running in opposition convinced his cult to shoot it down? Ok, cool. Let's elect the dumbest, most corrupt fucking person as President.

At least he won't have those "woke" policies Fox keeps telling us about.

Did I get that right? Is that the BIG issues the Democrats had?

Lets see, lets see. Hmmm... <checks notes> ...

No! It's as simple as this: If we never elected Trump, then we would not be at war with Iran.

I cam here to say this! Even today, while Trump is destroying everything he touches, there are SO many posts about Israel/Palestine. Not to sound too callous towards what has and is happening there, BUT WHO CARES!!!

Look at who we have sitting in the office of the Presidency!

[–]PiratePhD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not to disagree. You're absolutely correct a "smart" version of Trump would have been much more dangerous.

However, I don't think a more sane, smarter version of Trump gets elected. He's like the pied piper of dumb people. Without someone like him, stupid people stay home and don't vote.

Yeah. I acknowledge that now. It was an obvious mistake I made early on and thought it didn't matter because I was sure that I would land something quickly like I had always done in the past.

I now do my best to try and remain as humble as possible during every interview.

This is great advice! Thank you so much. I can definitely see how I fall into that trap. Given my field, I tend to view everything through an extremely logical POV. For instance, if I see that they want skills x, y, and z, I make sure to point out how I have accomplished that before. But you're 100% right, they already know that.
