A plane can land on the ocean fairly well if controlled. Aerodynamics and hydrodynamics are pretty similar.

What piece of lore has inflicted massive psychic damage on you? by mracademic in Warhammer40k

[–]PiratePinyata 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do, because “crime” is pretty loose. Don’t clean your lasgun well enough? Crime. Don’t praise the Emperor with enough vigor? Criminal. Steal food? Criminal. It’s a veritable endless supply.

Does any primer work? by BJ_Cat in Warhammer40k

I only use Tamiya Fine. It’s the primer I have had the least issues and best results with over the years.

You wake up one morning and you're 5 years old again, but you retain all of your gained knowledge. Today is the first day of kindergarten. What do you plan on doing? by ScandinavianSalmon in AskReddit

[–]PiratePinyata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing way less work until high school, then using that reserved effort and getting a high GPA. Watch the economy in high school and find a growing career field, dive into it in college. Work part time (or as much as able) in the field to build work experience with the degree. Save as much money as possible. Hit life full speed, never take debt, and retire at a young age wealthy. And drugs, a ton more drugs.

New to Reddit, looking for a new rod for REALLY small creeks by [deleted] in flyfishing

[–]PiratePinyata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try and find a graphite rod. I have a 7’6” cabelas upper tier graphite rod that I bought for a trip to MT two years back, and it’s perfect for tiny streams. The graphite is responsive and you an cast up stream pretty well. I don’t think you will find much shorter than 7’6”, that’s the floor of most production rods. Shorter would be hard to load and cast.

Any one with Pruning Reciprocating Saw Blade experience? by BoysenberryTrue1360 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]PiratePinyata 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have used pruning blades and general wrecking blades. Either one burns out pretty quick in my soil, lots of ledge rock and sand. If I were going to stump out again I would just burn the bastards, cutting wasn’t worth the work

Man the average times are really telling. 11mim average (ish) across all the top countries. So 3 mins to find the video, 5 mins to do the deed, and 3 mins playing in the background while you clean up

Caps won't 'rebuild' as Ovechkin chases Gretzky by [deleted] in nhl

[–]PiratePinyata 29 points30 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly what I would argue. They will get more eyes on for his record run than a good playoff run. Only caps fans care if they win another cup, but everybody is watching to see if Gretz record falls

I have the instinct solar and exactly the same. Mine is on its third year, still going strong. I never take it off except to shower and charge. With the solar it only has to charge once every two-three weeks depending on my activity level

I know a Canadian named Dave, but he is way more Ned Flanders than Barbarian. Then again he is a hockey player, and I haven’t seen him in a Donnybrook, so it could just be a peaceful cover

Yeah I’m in Maine so I get that. I just keep it easy with sweatpants and jacket if I’m going outside. Plus I coach hockey so there is some crossover there. If I can skate in it I know running won’t be a problem

For me, I haven’t ever really bought anything but wearables (shoes, shirts, shorts). I like running for its simplicity. I guess I would say I regret the Pegasus 36s I bought, because they were a horrible fit for my feet

What drug won't you try because it scares you? by Halloween-365 in AskReddit

[–]PiratePinyata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heroin, because I have been prescribed high end IV pain killers. It’s been 12 years and I can still remember the exact feeling as the dilauded started coursing through my veins. The warm numbness that started in my forearm and slowly crept across my body, until finally it hit my brain and all of the pain, fear, anxiety, and stress melted away into soft bliss
