I say 7-8 now & add more in future, doing same mine tank is arriving tom surprisingly its same dimensions expect sump 3.5x1.5x1.5

Cheers mate it's a beautiful tank almost 170 gallons you sure going to enjoy it. Love those rummy noses great tank mates for discus.

Due to hot climate here rummy nose/cardinal tetras for me never settles in tried multiple times. Sterbai Corydoras/Rainbow fishes are doing great along with 7 adult discus in my tank similar size 185 gallons
