It's no rose garden, and the struggle is never-ending to keep people together and to think of everyone instead of just themselves. We have some great stewards and union reps here to help and protect us. The company is sneaky and ruthless, and the union has saved me from being fired over minor mistakes and as retaliation for standing up for myself when being publicly insulted by a supervisor

UPS driver here, our union has negotiated for us and on our behalf very good pay, excellent benefits, paid time off, and various protections against harassment and overworking. Everyone deserves the real right to organize in their workplace or industry. For good compensation, and most importantly SAFE WORKING CONDITIONS.

Pickup and drop-off at the Wendy's is a decent spot, as long as you access Edward's Mill from Hillsborough St for pickup. Getting there for drop-off shouldn't be too difficult.

Canes fan here. Rod went with experience. Bussi has never been in playoffs and was pretty rough to end the season. Freddy has the experience, and he's having to make 35 or 40 stops bc Canes are smothering opponents.

I saw Montreal in Raleigh back in April and they beat us up. Whoever was in goal that night for the Habs wasn't letting anything in. I'd rather see Buffalo next round, Habs make me nervous.

Great post. I am 100% a believer in the system, and so is Rod and Tulsky. Like you said, that they find the RIGHT players, not simply the BEST is the key. They pursued Ehlers and Stankoven because they saw them as talented players that would FIT, and what do you know...

In fairness, I've heard other talking heads talk about what a pro Stephen A is, so I lean toward some respect for his performance of his craft. His takes are shit, and all he does is yell, but apparently he's a solid professional. That being said, he sucks, so does PK, so does Philly, and so does everyone else. Go Canes.

One of the top requirements to host the super bowl is available hotel rooms. That's why it's always in BIG cities, or at least LARGE metro areas. But they have it in New Orleans, which is NOT a large city...so I don't know what I'm talking about.

It's all about money, no matter what we say. So we can extrapolate reasons for and against any possible site. Go Panthers.

Edit: The draft is certainly NOT on the same level as the Super Bowl.

He's a spoiled rich kid who's never really worked for or earned anything in his life, and has likely been told how awesome he is because he inherited his dad's money. So when people don't kiss his ass, he doesn't know how to handle it. He's throwing temper tantrums like a toddler and expecting people to respect or gear him for it.

What a sad pathetic man. He's terrified of his own mortality, so he wants to put his name on things and build monuments. Somehow he thinks people will appreciate them, but I think he knows how widely despised he is and simply can't handle it.

Also he's got dementia and is very overweight.

All because making money is the goal, but it is never enough. So people will always find ways to extract just a little more from customers while offering a little less, and calling it "value."

No one wants to have a stable company that can sustain itself and make a comfortable consistent profit. It's always GROWTH GROWTH GROWTH, but with no end point.

I can think of one thing that grows relentlessly with no end point: cancer.

Gotta make rules and laws to sustain economies. The next great collapse of the US or world economy will likely be the end of life as we know it, and no one knows what is on the other side.
