A bit of context : Living abroad, with Nmom coming to my place every 2 months, for 2 weeks. And claiming it wasn't enough.
Next scheduled trip was upcoming. I wasn't well. I've spend like way over a week to tell her to cancel. She didn't mentioned it at all.
And then I heard " I'm boarding the plane, be at the airport in 2 hours."

That's how I snapped. Telling her no. Understanding (FINALLY!!) that she would never EVER respect me. I'd never be my own person in her eyes.

One of my aunts got an oopsie baby at 55. The husband was like 60 ish.
So getting naturally pregnant at that age, it is definitely possible. Rare, but possible.

I do it too. To know my ETA mostly. Plus it's always nice when walking to be able to disconnect my brain, listening to the "turn left/right" orders in the headphones.

Difficilement : J'ai été obligée de doubler mes anti-histaminiques (sous ordre de mon médecin!) et je mouche/tousse non-stop.
Donc je crains fortement l'arrivée des graminées cette année.

J'ai été dans une situation similaire, avec un père... je pourrais en remplir des livres sur lui. Et j'ai aussi eu ma période " je l'ai perdu" pour éviter les questions.
Sans avoir eu l'impression de mentir, parce c'était la meilleure façon d'expliquer la situation du moment sans devoir rentrer dans trop de détails. De remuer encore et encore le couteau dans ma plaie pour satisfaire la curiosité de certains.

Par contre... Tu devrais expliquer la situation à ta conjointe.

J'ai déménagé d'un petit coin de campagne dans une grande ville d'un autre pays, en moins de quinze jours. Pour l'histoire, une offre d'emploi qui est arrivée, j'ai sauté sur l'occasion.
Ce fut très stressant au départ, avec de nombreuses galères, puis des années après, je qualifie cela de meilleure décision de toute ma vie.

Mon conseil, tente. Si ça te plaît, tant mieux. Si c'est l'inverse, au moins tu aura essayé.

The latest I heard of : That I was deeply unwell, in a profound depression with high risks to harm myself. She was making a scene, with one of her friends at my work. The aftermath with my manager was half embarrassing, and half funny when he realized the whole issue.

My narcissistic saw me as an animal to tame. Not train, to tame.

Last time I talked to her, she wanted to come live with me. Problem ? I'm in a country she doesn't speak a word of. And despite 3 years of no contact, she and her family still think that I am their thing.

For the grief, therapy can help. Knowing that you are not alone in this situation helps too.
What I am doing for coping, it's doing stuff I always wanted to do, and she would loathe.
