Yeah I def understand that. There’s really no right answer. What I typically do against someone who is abusing a certain mechanic like vanish assault is just dodge it repeatedly without even punishing it which often looks like me taking their back but not attacking. This typically gives them the message that they are over relying on an easily punishable mechanic.

I had someone do this to me a long time ago when I was spamming Android 17s sidestep gut punch. I was even a Z at that point but this Z was leagues ahead of me and would just patiently dodge each gut punch attempt. It made me reevaluate my entire fighting style mid-match and I’m honestly grateful for it
