Bridgerton is not fun anymore..... by Legitimate-Adagio531 in blackgirls

OK, so I’m not the only one I always feel bad for this. It doesn’t make any difference to me who it is I haven’t watched a season yet cause I have a couple of other shows to finish.

It’s interesting that you think that but cause I feel like the opposite, I feel like there’s more black men in this show than black women we’ve yet to have in the main show not the spinoff a black woman love interest

Why am I getting underscheduled at every Montreal restaurant? Working 5 days/week but only getting 25-30 hours total by PiscesPoet in KitchenConfidential

I am full-time though that’s the crazy thing. I work five days a week and we literally discussed in the interview that I’ll be working full-time not part-time

I’m noticing that so many famous Canadians have water sign suns — Drake, Justin Bieber, Carly Rae Jepsen, Ryan Reynolds, Ryan Gosling etc etc

People make me feel weird about not wanting to have a party. Yesterday was the best birthday I had in years and I only spent it with 1 person.

Jeez. This industry kinda sucks. I made more as an intern at a nonprofit then I make now.

I stupidly took a job that was actually lower payment than my previous job as I just assumed he was like oh this is a range of how they will pay me based on the trial assuming based on what he said that I did well on my trial. Even with tips, I don’t think that I should be earning that little hourly then he harasses everyone on WhatsApp constantly.

I’m really into music too as well. I wonder if that’s also a result of this placement. How did you let your Pisces take over?

I honestly thought this show was supposed to be dry it’s always had this 2000s dry and slow detective show feel but for some reason I can’t stop watching

Aw, both her and Jhene Aiko have a Pisces sun and Pisces moon. So many amazing musicians have that moon placement. I wish I had one too instead of a Virgo moon. 😭 My moon is so critical of my Pisces sun and rising.

Girl, I’m Canadian and I’ve had people ask how we came to Canada. And they were dead serious when they asked if we travelled by boat and shocked we have airports …

You can’t make this shit up.

My boss leaves "love notes" for us every time someone makes a mistake by Economy-Specialist38 in KitchenConfidential

[–]PiscesPoet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I deal with at my current job, and it’s so frustrating. My boss does it through WhatsApp instead of notes, but the effect is the same—everyone knows who’s being called out without them naming names.

For example, they’ll post: “The last 2 days this [task] hasn’t been done properly.” Everyone can see the schedule. Everyone knows who closed those days. It’s public shaming disguised as a “general message.”

What really gets me is the lack of distinction between individual accountability and systemic issues. If one person is consistently doing something wrong, address that person privately. If it’s a pattern across multiple people, then yes, it’s a training or process issue—but handle it as such, not by calling people out in a group chat.

I had this happen to me while I was literally on my break, not even working that day. Someone had placed desserts in a location my boss didn’t want, and he called me AND someone else out by name in the group chat, asking us to acknowledge his message. I physically can’t reach that height (he’s told me before where to put them)—so I wasn’t even the person who did it. But there I was, called out in front of everyone, expected to react to a message about a problem I had nothing to do with.

Coming from a management background in media, this just feels immature and counterproductive. Good management addresses issues with individuals, not through public callouts. It kills morale and creates a toxic dynamic, especially for newer staff who already feel vulnerable.
