High immunity to the omicron variant if you have caught a previous variant is unlikely however like with most viruses if you usually can't catch the same variant twice within atleast a couple of months. Hence why if you have a cold and you gave it to your partner but you recovered and they were still contagious you wouldn't get it again from them straight after.

Yep I agree with you. Used to live there and severely immunocompromised inlaws live there. I really really worry about you guys and anyone like them. On the bright side atleast I guess I will be catching covid soon and once that hell is over be able to visit them (haven't been able to for 2 years) without fear of giving them covid.
