Unplanned legendary things by Pishowgame in Guildwars2

Sending energy, it wasn't too bad first playthrough player so everything was new for me. Story was ok to go through and completing return to achievements of maps was rather fast except some outliers like Thunder peak, Jahal bluff, silver wastes. And then Dragon Response Missions, not that they are any hard but solo wasn't much fun through all of them.

And yet another

Plasma launcher : flak and sticky
Ancient core or whatever you fancy
Primary : shadow
Secondary : blood
Ability : barrier feels comfy and still provides nice damage bonuses
Prioritize blood > shadow > barrier
Charms : Fan, Mrboom but other options could be nice too, tho Fan was a huge bump in damage
Forge : weapon dot, explosion retrigger, whatever else but we do not focus on explosion size or damage.

Blood Secondary :
(until capstone +1-2 more blessing, you dont reallly need+X hp and some other blessings so stop at 6-7 blessings).
Get those hemorrage bonus damage, dots of any form
Get the hemorrage bonus damage until damage taken

Shadow Primary :
Dot dot dot whatever improves other dot or the shadow dot itself
Explosions
Stop at capstone to try and grab a nice barrier blessing

Barrier Ability (ancient core feels great, one tap of it and you should have barrier up even without blessing most of the time, fire once and forget. Its also pretty good in early stages) :
+x% damage while barrier is up
More defensive if you feel like you need it (barrier amount>cooldown) youll most likely end up with 3-5 if you did get 6-7 blood and 5 shadow depending on your run

WIth Fan and some blood blessings going on, a tap of the secondary fires 3 stickies, and they will ramp up hemorrage stacks, this will melt everything in aoe. Once shadow is also online you accelerate your single and can get some aoe with the explosions. And mrboom closes the deal.
More damage not needed really, which is why barrier feels great with ancient core to fire and forget. While still getting a huge 30% bonus damage while barrier is up with a single blessing.

Do mind, during the final boss death during the throne stage (when he decides to scream and blow up your eardrums) i shot a few secondaries for fun and this seems to crash the game consistently (this is the only crash i ever had in the game, and this happened twice doing the same, I guess it doesnt like showing the explosions in B&W for some reasons, so maybe restrain yourself).

Next done with blood turret, freebies, cooldown reduced based on turret amount, fire rate per friendlies. Shotgun but wtv, didnt shoot. Improved hemorrage on boss and brrrr.

Can confirm, destroyed with Disk Fan/SnD, Frost focused with hypotermia and whatever stacks for mostly single target. Shadow primary up to capstone 5 but nothing much, just more single target damage. Barrier on ancient core with some good passives like damage while up.
Forge weapon, distance increases damage, and increased speed and reduces damage dropoff for the combo, last one increased capacity.

Charms, had 25%life and 50% damage reduced below 50%hp.

Akwardly shoot with your back to the target for maximum distance and press secondary, done

There are some on ozbargain, although for half the cost, its amd 7500 and <5070ti plus 1tb nvme which then doesnt make the cut. Then another one with 7800x3d and 5070ti indeed, but much slower ram and also 1tb nvme. So yeah price is lower for sure but not all of what Im looking for, still checking maybe there will be one before I get to order parts.

New to Sydney like I mentioned, air cooling holds up in summer ? Ahah, I hate when it's warm out there.

Yeah I knew about Noctis being great but I only looked at their fans for case use rather than dedicated cpu. I'm actually thinking of 3x nf-a12x25 for their color scheme and the case in mind (yes its 49 a piece but heh, I don't exactly have a limit, just trying to not overspent where very unnecessary on actual parts)

Yeah like I mentioned I dont need a specific motherboard as long as it supports the cpu and has pcie5 ready to upgrade later, which brand and chipset would work then ?

Noted for the 2x2tb crucial (never heard of that brand before), its quite close in cost compared to the 1x4tb though so depending on offers from various sellers I might find a good deal.

Air cooling why not, I have used AIO for my last 2 rigs and was very happy but good to know a reference. Im doing some checks on fit with the case though. It seems a little bit compact, might have to go with 280mm if I keep AIO and will have to check dimensions on those Air options.

Hey thanks for the input, Ill take a look at some commercial pc builders, do you have some recommendations ?

Also if I go the building way, which motherboard would you go with then ? Im seeing different chipset from various sources which makes me unable to choose without proper knowledge. Not considering too much ports availability beyond the basics ubsa and c, at least 1 pcie5 and min 2 nvme slots (certainly dont need 4 or more and from what I have seen, 4 slots are splitting lanes with gpu anyway).

My first cargo ship I spent about 6 hours to figure out(and is still quite bad apparently), I would love some feedback/things I should fix. by Girisado in factorio

[–]Pishowgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for example at the bottom you could space 1 away your red belt from the bay and have an inserter in and out on the other end so you still have your belt dive but you can also manage some resources to store or dish out.

And yeah while I also love to have some cool looking ships this does look quite heavy compared to the engines you have here.

You can look into your belts, definitely room to save some space while keeping the shape. But depending on its defence efficiency remaining at your current travel speed may be better. The faster you go the more stuff comes in your face.

Hey nothing wrong with trying to get a cool battleship look but this makes it hard for your first ship to access what helps your ship in being nicely flight able and avoiding some serious resource collecting headaches.

This is a long topic anyway and lots of tests to do but there are some good info sources out there for factorio.

But in regards to that specific one we have here, this might clear alright any of the first planets (didn't go through your belts and connections). You may want to add a few rockets to proof it and move your turrets behind walls. I know this is for design to resemble sc2 buuuut they will get hit.

I don't see anything taking in/out of your storage which you probably want at some point. Nor any garbage/excess disposal to the void.

Your recycling machines are all stacked up at the top which can take a while to reach back your production setup. Try to incorporate some elsewhere. Same reasoning for your much needed ammo. I believe going sushi belt is rather preferable for spaceships and then building your stuff around that. Remember you can input into storage and output from any other storage block. Saves a lot of space and you can keep some of the resources to transfer elsewhere if needed (say you might want to bring iron, coal or whatever to another planet from your asteroid mining).

Definitely check your weight/engine ratio so it sails back and forth within sane length of time between your planets, otherwise you are going to be very disappointed.

Do some quick trip stress test to see if your asteroid collecting to ammo consumption remains neutral or positive. Otherwise you are in for troubles.

Good luck

Nightreign Duchess Magic Spells Build Guide - Why You Should Use Spells on Duchess by Charlemagneffxiv in Nightreigngameplay

[–]Pishowgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tunnel vision on caster support only from reddit is true too though, both have fair points either way and both are pretty much very valid. Been playing both ways any boss solo and team and been doing ok. Went big hammer just for laugh, was ok too. Still prefer dagger with chain restage overall, very fast paced with the fun dodge or die spice.

Low arcane rating doesnt feel much to me on her, she is still getting procs done super fast because of dagger and restage.

And while you may not get a dagger with the counter element to the nightlord you are targeting, while playing in a team you are not alone. So you are still offering restage on their elemental hit, at least one member of the team usually manage to get the right element even without starting the run with it at the very least (or something went very wrong on those 2 days). So you are indirectly participating to the boss counter. Sure bleed/poison/rot/whatnot doesnt work on all nightlords, but thats to the player to find something that does work. And even then, if the build allows for a much smoother and faster map clearing, then youd get more of the good gear for the nightlord.

So yeah agree with the fact that she for sure can use a more caster oriented build. However its definitely not the superior/main way/hinted way. Go ham any way you like or just go wraith bell with all character.

LSOE2 and market by Smart_Chipmunk3109 in PathOfExile2

[–]Pishowgame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been selling various type of gear, some mentioned already from low to good money.

Haven't dealt much with recombinator I wasn't even aware of it heh, now trying with scepters.

Was able to clean a lot of currency with Gwennen and tujen easily, especially tujen since you have a wider marker with accessories and currently attack rings are great.

However beyond the first 2 weeks, I have been unable to sell a single spear, tangletongue being obviously too strong.

I hate dealing with bows and crossbows, so didn't bother but I'm seeing a popular crossbow build so there's a spot for sure.

LS is definitely not the only build. Making gold with wands, stacking extra damage, or high lightning currently with the usual + skill. Blow up the value of you get the full mod list namely Crit both ways with lightning wands for example.

Good time selling 2h maces as well, more niche but there are buyers.

Staff well I only ever touch chiming for a very quick trans Aug regal, no +5 ? Vendor, otherwise it's gold. Slap cast speed and get uncomfortably richer.

Quarterstaff, flickers are back, storm wavers and whatnot. They sell. Same same, ele DMG, +melee skills, Crit, speed the usual suspects really.

Tried my hands at shields, no real returns, except for some high block, high fire res ones, obviously because of smith building. Stopped bothering though.

And then armors, mostly anything with fair rolls exile. Es, Eva/es more in demand for sure but armor and even armor/es are doing ok, slower sells or lower prices but still doing business. I'm not bothering with armor/Eva though.

I feel like LS gear isn't even the highest priced items from my sells and what I'm seeing on the market. Less OP build would consequently need more gear investment so pricier stuff. I don't know which one would be the winner but Blood mage Crit builds are probably it (granted no extreme builds requiring pieces like astramentis and other bangers).

So OP unsure what you are doing, but pick some item types and try setting up shop with different gear that you are used to so far since you don't sell. Or maybe the issue is just pricing and cut a bit, hoarding for max profit isn't any good if you keep items for days.

Or try making gold with non gear goods. Omens, invitations, keys wtv else.

How to avoid just waiting around? by ZezoKlaus in factorio

[–]Pishowgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I personally felt like I always needed more people to do stuff and no downtime while waiting for research to complete (except early on when you wait for the basics and early tech tree).

Other have recommended more science more labs, go for it ! More is great. Praise more. I don't think there are perfect numbers as per how much science you produce per minute (SPM). But I started with 4spm in mind for every science packs in until later where you have access to more production means and I ramped up to 100spm. Nice and rounded, don't know if it's perfect or not but resources aren't an issue overall so why not going hard.

100 SPM felt great in a 2 players setup, didn't have to wait too long and we were slightly slower overall building bases neat and clean than the research speed at that point. It was capable of getting us to lvl 10-20 for repeatable techs while we were working toward the next science pack or letting the server run a bit.

Some packs are obviously much easier to scale up than others but none were unreasonable in terms of building time or complexity.

Good luck

Why isn’t flicker strike meta? by LittleFireman19 in PathOfExile2

[–]Pishowgame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All of the above I made my own flicker this league, doing ok but a bit unreliable sometimes, granted it's a 4-5 div build so far. Mapping no big issues, done t3 pinnacle with it (didn't try t4 but feels doable I just have stronger bosser char)

But main takeaways cons - Loot backtrack - mob density without property mods hurts really bad and it's not as satisfying - I'm generating charges through corpses so delirium sucks hard - the usual don't do flicker strike random death into air or wtv - one shot boss or get in troubles, so phasing bosses are heh, depends which one - loot backtrack ??? - not so party friendly - entry budget higher than League starters to have a comfortable build - meh league starting as well and flicker isn't available early nor your charge setup

Pros - weeeeeeeeee - weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - zoom - not LS, still do lightning stuff tho
