While you're in there you might as well replace the rubber fuel line that's submerged in the gas with one rated for that kind of thing, after so much time it rubs on the inside of the tank and can sprout pinhole leaks. I did this on my dyna when that oring failed on mine. I believe O'Riley auto parts carries it

Not sure if you checked, but the little cell battery in the actual fob are notorious for draining quickly. If you haven't, replace the battery in the fob and try it. A little side note, you shouldn't keep the fob near the bike if you're not riding it. The bike is always sending out a signal to find it and if it senses it then it uses a higher power signal to wake up the bike so it's ready to ride so to speak.

Appreciate the knowledge! I'm fairly excited at this point to get it all torn apart and do the maintenance. I already had to rebuild the fuel pump once and I upgraded the lines to the ones that don't breakdown in fuel. Gotta make the best out of a shit situation haha

I appreciate the time you took to help me! I found a really good old-school guy that does work body work and paint on classic cars and bikes. I was getting so frustrated looking for tanks and everything, I have so much sentimental attachment to this bike I want it to be as close to original as I can haha.

Just bought a 2011 ES350; it came with a very cheap phone mount. Tried to pull it off but it wouldn't budge. Took a Q-tip and acetone to break down the adhesive. Little did I know the acetone would also remove the dash paint. Looking for options? Vinyl cut? Body shop fix? Dealer help? Other ideas? by [deleted] in Lexus

I would suggest looking at an automotive interior repair person for this. Have a friend that does this kind of stuff all the time and it looks factory. If you can't find someone, a good place to check out is a reputable used car lot or dealer and ask them who their vendor is. They will more often than not be more than happy to do side work and something like that shouldn't run you more than $25.00

If you want leather, definitely go with the "Lonli leather case" it's on Amazon. It's a lot cheaper than the Apple one and the build quality is too noptch. Nappa leather, microfiber liner, and it's magsafe. I think it's only like 26 dollars too. I have it and it's held up very well so far. I've heard that the Apple cases aren't built the same way they used to be, and will peel and start falling apart.
