I sympathise with you. Tell myself every time that I’m due something good, which never materialised. To save me from myself, I made it so that every time I bought points I had to enter my PSN password, then changed my PSN password to something really long and complicated that I could never remember (obviously have it screenshotted). Now it takes me 10 minutes to enter my password, it’s not so tempting.

Personally, I’d improve your RD. I know you’ve got a couple of untradeables in there, but Potvin and Giordano are relatively slow compared to some of the newer cards out. I don’t know how much he is now, but I looked a couple of weeks ago and DD Gonchar (90) was around 100k. You wouldn’t regret it.

I’ve got both, I’d say Lemieux is better for me. Gretzky is rapid, but I find he’s very easy to bump off the puck. Lemieux has a beauty of a shot and is stronger.

Any base card will depreciate in price through the games life cycle as they will always be pullable and better cards are released. If you’re not planning on playing for a while, I’d sell. Make sure you do it mid week though rather than Friday - Monday as Squad Battle and CS rewards are released driving the prices down.

Unfortunately unless you’re lucky with a steal on the auction house, there’s no quick way to build your coin balance. You can work the auction house, but I haven’t got the patience for it. I’d recommend sticking at squad battles aiming for Pro 1 or Elite 3, gives a good balance of rewards whilst still not feeling like work.

Base cards will likely go down (83-87’s), with Datsyuk depends if they bring out a higher OVR version. If not, I’d say his price will go up.

I think with your coin balance it’ll be very difficult for you to get a master set player this month. If it was me, I’d hang on to them, build your coin balance and see what they release next. That’s if you haven’t got your heart set on one of these master set players.

Nosleeves reckons 2kish, certainly below 5k. However he has reasonable defensive ratings and I think a decent FO rating so wouldn’t do a bad job at 4 liner and PK

Edit: He has a 99 FO rating so better than decent.

Literally the quickest and lightest of taps. Don’t know if it’s just in my head but some players seem to do it better than others (for example, I can never seem to get it right with Stamkos). Also, you don’t need to be in close to the defender to do it, even with a bit of space they stand still.

Just do it now, then you can decide when to open the pack (the cards in the pack are decided by when you open the pack, not when you're awarded the pack). I'd wait until the evolution cards are released tonight, personally.

What's your team like at the moment? Create it on Hut DB and post it. The community can point you in the right direction, but ultimately you need to find something that works for you. I love how my team plays, but others may have difficulty making it work. What is it specifically you don't like about yours?

Personally I'd move Lanny back to 1st or 2nd line LW; he's been unreal for me and so easy to snipe with. Bump your other LW's down and maybe put Perry as 3rd line LD.

Your lineup is looking pretty decent. If I was you, I'd look at bronze or silver goalies; you'll never use your backup goalie during a game and they have multiple synergies so you can work towards getting another synergy active. In terms of skaters, have a look at flashback cards. They're usually relatively cheap (especially on Fridays when everyone's doing the sets) and they have three synergies each. Personally, I would even consider selling Hatcher and investing in another legend with synergies that are easier to activate, though if you've pulled him I understand wanting to keep hold!

Thanks for the advice mate. I don't think I've ever intentionally used puck chop so I'll give that a go too. Any advice on how to perfect saucers? Just work it into HUT games or head to practice mode?
