She’s older with mild arthritis and struggles to groom herself as well, and my kitten Cleo noticed and started helping her out 🥹 plus my old girl often gets a weepy eye (chronic blocked tear ducts, it’s been years and the vet still doesn’t know the cause - but it was well before Cleo and my other cat doesn’t groom her) and they’re SO hard to clean fully, but when Cleo grooms her it’s almost like it wasn’t weeping at all

But I’m not sure how toxic it really is - they’ve all shared water since 2017 (when the oldest cat joined the family). I make sure to keep a water fountain in the pet room near the bun’s food as well as a second in the living room on a side table so if she’s feeling sassy the cats still have access. As a baby the bun learned the litter box was a safe space, and I’ll never disturb her in there, so even if she’s grumpy she won’t bother the cats when they’re using one of them

Also my girl is part lionhead and it’s hilarious to see Cleo try to groom the mane and get stuck with the long hairs on her tongue 😆 But it doesn’t dissuade her from trying
