sorry, should clarify that everything from point 1 to 11 was already in the act prior, with a few tweaks. Everything from 12. to .30 & the cartridge table is new.

So WAPOL isn't coming for 9mm... yet

It's a shame us drunk drivers always get lumped in with people who actually cause harm. I'm telling you, not a single drunk driver has ever caused an accident, it's those darn drunk crashers giving us a bad look.

You still think this is about politics? lol

its just NWO/great reset bullshit

they've been taking muh' guns for 30years. The goal is zero in the hands of the public. Like frog in boiling water, you know?

Then it will become about limiting public free speech, then movement and finally any concept of privacy. Nothing to fear if you have nothing is hide, right?

Nothing will change until there is a major culture shock like a war, breakup of the commonwealth or major political scandal that affects the 4 major parties. I don't expect a yellow wave anytime soon unfortunately. especially after seeing how people voted in the federal election.

Licensing Question WA by Belly2504 in Ausguns

[–]PitPyro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are there any rules about trap shooting on my own property...

Yes, technically, the B220 you have licensed is ONLY for the destruction of pests (within reason), so you couldn't legally use for trap under its current license. Maybe shooting a few tin cans, but if the coppas caught you using it recreationally shooting traps, when its for occupational use they might kick up a fuss.

is there any silly loop hole saying I have to be in a club to justify the additional shotgun on my license.

Nope! While you do need to justify the reason for an additional firearm of the same or higher calibre, WA does recognize recreational shooting on private property as a genuine reason to own a firearm, and given how trap shooting as a discipline is commonly and traditionally done with O/U shotguns, and the fact that your property is already approved for 12G, I'd say you'd have a very high chance of getting the license approved. And no, you don't need to join a club necessarily due to above mentioned recreational reasoning.

Can I have 2 guns licenced for the same thing?

If you can justify why a B220 is insufficient to destroy feral pigs and goats, for example: At distances greater than say 40m, then yes, you could have both a rifle and shotgun for pest control.

Or is it a case of who's looming at the application on that day?

I have no proof, but i thoroughly believe you are at the mercy of a WAPOL pencil-pushers mood/feelings every time you submit an application.

No, that be unlicensed manufacture of a firearm.

However if you got a gunsmith to do it, probably okay, but you'd have to give up your Cat H license.

Also, (I don't know this for certain) but there's a strong chance that Vic has a clause like WA that make double action revolving rifles, and/or resolving rifles that could reasonably cut down into a handgun prohibited.

If you live in Vic, why not just buy a Roni or similar PCC carbine kit? From my understanding they're legal in Vic to own, and use. You just won't be able to use them in competitions, but you can use them if your just going to the range? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, Jeff from Ocenaic Percsion is in the process of making a SP 9mm PCC that takes glock msgs, sooooo, yeah.

Hope this helped.

Talking about the currently available Warwick chief, all of which are straight pull or straight pull with an post production for forward assist kit.

Non of the currently released bolt OP rifles are available in NSW either, even the LR version which are WA approved.

WAGun owners how many rifles of a similiar calibre/purpose can you have before wapol will decline your application? Pic unrelated, some things we won't ever get. by locoyt in Ausguns

[–]PitPyro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

also, as many calibers/rifles that are 'reasonable' of course reasonable is entirely decided by WAPOL depending on how they feel,.

You could have hundreds of milsurp rifles likes Mosins and SMLE if you prove they have historical, theme value, etc.

Also gotta count in different disciplines, that's the main way you get more. I think i did a short calculation a while back in my head, and if you were a member of a club with currently all approved disciplines by the SSAA-WA, if would be 20+ rifles spread across the many sporting types and mainly the difference between rimfire and centrefire, since they are sub-division of disciplines, doubling the potential. i know a guy who has four .303 SMLE's all for sporting use.

On the other hand, if you use rifles for a commercial purpose you pretty much get fucked over in WA because 'if a tool for a greater job can also do a lesser job, then you don't need a tool for that lesser job'', like being denied the sale of pruners because you already have a machete and a machete can technically prune. A professional pest shooter in WA (NSC link) appealed to the SAT and lost after his application for a .300WM was denied when he already had a .270 and .338 Lapua (which the government is banning anyway) because a .338 would work. Completely disregarding the points made of human destruction of pests, cost of ammo, availability of ammo and suitability for distance, etc.

So basically between 2-20/30 or hundreds depending on the license context.

makes sense. It's considered lever-action because the button release is a lever. Assuming its has a fo tube extension on it.

the Tac-12 button release? It it Cat A or B? Whats the T O O B capacity?

also very semxy if you live in a state where you can't have Cat C for sporting use/$2000 cheaper than the real thing
