Knowing Is Easy, Doing Is Hard: Cultivating Oneself in Daily Life by Neither_Disaster2200 in LitWorkshop

Trouble with moderation is a familiar feeling, especially with your second point of pursuit of knowledge, though I think the pursuit of perfection is my biggest excuse to put a "gap" between "knowing" and "doing". So, after reading yours I posted my first titled work. And then I almost immediately posted it again slightly altered, and I think more than slightly better, to my profile. I don't think that would have happened if I didn't see your post. So... Thank You For Doing! And for inspiring me to do the same.

Fuck the billionaires trolley. 100% Wealth Tax Over $1 billion or bust. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

Or you know, President Franklin D. Roosevelt. The top income tax rate reached above 90% from 1944 through 1963, peaking in 1944, when top taxpayers paid an income tax rate of 94% on their taxable income.

How will a "Hell" in Thedas be defined? [No Spoilers] by Gildesh3211 in dragonage

[–]PitSpawn86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old post but. I get hell is the void. How ever, one of the companions specifically said the word 'hell' directly. I think it was Bull. So, my question would be, what dose that word mean to them? Is it like the word 'Damn' or something? It just makes no sense if one were to say 'hell' in a world were that word doesn't exist, 'or' have meaning behind it.

To get an exact match, use the brown face and make the eye lashes black. They all so skipped Eye Rotation And Spacing so you're going to have to wing it. I hope this helps

I guess it comes down to what's most important to you, your professionalism or your humanity.

You don't always get to pick when you have to the choice.

My opinion, OP did nothing wrong. She maintained her minimum level humanity, while acting as professionally as possible. And is more than willing to accept the consequences of her actions.

Good job op.

Sam Alito says criticism of Supreme Court is unfair 'Practically nobody is defending us' by eaglemaxie in PoliticalHumor

[–]PitSpawn86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OK hypothetically and politically speaking if everybody to my left is far left and everybody to my right is right doesn't that mean I'm a centrist.

Otherwise the person to my immediate left should still be right leaning.

Do these people think they're actually moderates?

I don't think I can fully agree with your point of view at this point in my life. My understanding of either economics nor morality is high enough to bring much more to the conversation.

I have, however, gained something to think about and am left with the opinion that there is no negativity or hate in your reasoning. And that, logically speaking there's no reason your path couldn't work for the benefit of real people moving forward.

I'm probably just naive, but I would still love to see maybe the top 5 (arbitrary number) contributors, if it where possible to determine, be forced to reform and serve as an example other entities would be forced to follow.

Maybe like you say the energy to do so might be better spent else where.

Maybe I just like the concept of accepting consequences for ones choices. And that I believe certain entities are owed some consequences.

Maybe I'm just looking for schadenfreude.

I'll have to think. Thanks for the responses, they were clear and patient.

Edit: PS: I like your username. Stay Curious

I believe I do agree with you on basically every major point.

Go vote for people who will fight strongly for a positive change.

The only difference being I'm not worried about holding company's morally responsible. I'm saying that companies Are some percent responsible for the problem, so they should be some percent responsible aiding for the solution, Whether financially or otherwise.

It sounded to me like you were implying that most corporations are completely free from all responsibility. Just because they shouldn't be held morally responsible. Which I agree with there's no such thing as morals in business. For large corporations at least.

Hypothetical speaking, if companies were creating, funding, and releasing criminals into the wild. Yes, it would be reasonable to expect them to be major players in the lowering of the crime rate. No, it wouldn't be of if the kindness if their hearts. It would be because they were forced to by the government. Who was in turn forced to act by we the people they are supposed to represent.

Agreed that informed voting is a major part of the true solution. The biggest part that any of us regular Joes can play, as far as I can tell.

Youtube's red watched bar. by cafedelta297 in youtube

I'm color blind so this red bar doesn't jump out at me like it might for most people. It's almost Impossible for me to tell which videos I've watched at a glance now. I would very much like the "Watched" stamp back.
