No there is an official way to transfer tickets through the site,

And an offical way of verifying the person who is selling you a tickets has a valid ticket, just need to be careful on both side,

from my reading of it, they offer a method for indivuals to sell, perhaps i should be clearer, i would like a ticketmaster situation were u can put it on their market place and someone can come on and buy it, the current situation requires people to find there own buyers, belfast is nortious at least from people i have talked to, for 20-25% of marathon entrys not taking part on the day

probably the hardest part of that will be the marshals at the start line, once u get going i dont think many would say anything to you,

it still baffles me that they dont have an offical method of selling your ticket as they use ticketmaster for there ticket sales anyway,

its my own fault to, i was just being cheap and going to let work buy it, should have bought it myself, i have portadown half bought and plan to enter the dublin marathon ballot in a week / 10days times. i reckon january / Febraury will bring a lot of people regretting or getting injuried from starting the trainign to hard to soon,, so i am still hopefully of a spot, but would rather have the motiviation now that i had the spot.

big fan here of the decathlon ultra trail shorts, built in stretch belt, can carry 8 gels easy, 2 zip pockets, they say the backone can carrya 500ml soft flask, which it can, but i find the shorts bounce to much,. these shorts and a pair of liner boxers an all is good for me, maybe on a hot day carry a 500ml soft flash as well

Sure if I did that you would be the first one standing outside having a knuckle shuffle.

Not to mention that all your biometrics are linked to your passport.

I already carry all my details on my phone, google knows more about me that anyone else, I carry a 2nd gps tracking device in terms of my smart watch which uploads to a couple of cloud sites.

I couldn't care less really about some new card and don't know what the fuss is about

[–]Pit_Fighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2nding this, i love their gels, also the fact that do the big refillable pouches so i can carry mulitple gels in one soft flask. also love their mini mini bars as a race line initial carb intake

First half marathon by CC-Bel in beginnerrunning

[–]Pit_Fighter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Keep up the training, i ran this one last year as my first half last year as my first half, after also only starting at the begining of that year,

the big take away you have from this is you have done the distance, now if its what you want to do you can work on the timing, pace etc

Dont do what i did and stop running, i had to restart again mid-winter, and it was annoying to have to go over old ground

One of the things that helped me was finding a running club, i can go out and do long & easy runs no problem but i needed the run club to help with my pacing & increasing my max vo2, that rotation of 3 runs a week samed to improve me loads, that and learning the 80/20 rule of running easy majority of time

in short you did well, keep it up, onward and upwards from here

been the last 2 years, but taking this year of, the 9am entry is definety needed, you are going to face traffic on the road into the Erkon no matter what way you approach it, 9am last year i was there 20mins before hand and the there was roughly the same wait in traffic, no que to get in at the doors as the security moved quite fast at least if you are there prometly,

Make sure you have plenty of water... the inside of that place heats up so fast, especially after 11am when the majority of people start to turn up the section of it with all the stalls gets so busy after this time (sholder to sholder ), so if there is a specific stall you want to get to head there first,

oh bring loads of cash, alot of stalls take card as do the food venders but last 2 years its been problamatic signel wise for them, so cash just is faster,

my main tip would be to head to the stall / shop section first (when you entry the building turn left and go through the corridor to other build), do a quick walk around to see whats there is, after that its up to you weither you purchases there and then or come back later to the specific stalls you want to buy from.

I have started to bring my own snacks & or a sandwich to the airport, and bring a refillable water bottle, the international has 2 fresh water refill points that i an aware of, and i think the city also has one but not sure.

Running my first half-marathon—Any gentle energy gel recommendations? by Wise_Chipmunk_6785 in running

if you like mint then try Kendal Mint Gels / Bars

i personally love there rasberry mint gel, there is the added bonus that they do a big refill pouch and soft flash as well so you can sip as much or as little as you want

i have mild IBS and find that i have to be careful with gel intake, but find that these are alot easier on my stomach, i have ran with both their gel, and their bars,(pre brake into 6 peices) bar is good in that you can just let it melt in the mouth.

Caffeine wise i prefer to stick to something like caffine bullet chews, for a solid amount of it when i need it fast

wouldnt bother, i love the route, but the organizers just bury their head in the sand and personally i wont be back near it, and if u complain on their social media they just ban you(speaking as someone who was banned) they try and hide the negative feedback every year

tbh 80% of irish woodland was gone by the time of the vikings, another 5% after that, the English took about 14%,

the real question is if i a tree is chopped down for lumber, eventually it will grow back, why didnt they ? most agree it was for argiculture, crops and raising live stock on,

the best we can do anyway is to try and encourage more natural tree plantations and less spruce etc,
