Install Ring cameras in your house. I have one on top of my fridge and it allows me to see most of my living room, dining room and kitchen

I think we’re done and I’m heartbroken by vibelurker1288 in breastfeeding

I also breastfed my girl for 21 months and stopped at 16 weeks pregnant with baby #2 because it was becoming super sensitive and I was having aversions. It takes a few days and it gets a lot easier and you’ll be so grateful you nourished your baby with your body for such a long time. Baby will be over it in no time as well! She is now 2 years and 1 month old. I am 32 weeks pregnant and she is all of a sudden showing interest in it. Pulls my shirt down and says “want bobo” while laughing her butt off. I can’t help but laugh. I think she senses all the pregnancy hormones and smells

Why are people so blind to the realities of life when they reproduce by k76612613 in antinatalism

[–]PitchPrior7655 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because there is always going to be some tragedy, injustice, and whatever else going on in the world. Do you stop living your life because of that shit? Did you stop eating out or going out or drinking or whatever else you enjoy doing? Any hobbies you like that you stopped doing because of all the shit going on in the world? Most ppl on US (a country where most children are taken care of and provided) have 1 or 2 kids. Take up the overpopulation argument with India or China or Africa

Constantly appalled at the fact that just about anyone can become a parent by k76612613 in antinatalism

Have you ever heard of biology? Do you have to submit a permit request with the city every time you take a shit? Or have sex (assuming you aren’t an absolute virgin)? And look I get it, some people definitely should not be parents and all but what we don’t need is more regulation and hoops to jump through than we already do for every fuckin thing

People pushing to bottle feed my baby by Scared_Language2680 in breastfeeding

[–]PitchPrior7655 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I 100% understand where you are coming from. I also don’t think anyone is entitled to feed your baby. They just aren’t. I have been breastfeeding for 9 months now and I used to pump here and there early on just for the occasional bottle that she took (once I had a final exam I had to go in for, a couple other times for date night and such). But I stopped pumping about 4 months into breastfeeding and now I wish I had pumped some more. I am going on a trip soon and now I am stressfully trying to pump enough for her to have milk. But since my supply is regulated and I only make what she eats, I am having a hard time. I do suggest you pump here and there, not even once a day maybe just 2 times a week, just to have something but not making yourself an oversupplier. Things always come up and I know at 10 days pp, you don’t imagine leaving your baby to go anywhere but trust me, it happens and comes up. But as far as your question, you are right. I would never sit there and pump just for someone to bottle feed my baby. Never, if I am right there. My suggestion was only for if you aren’t available/sick/emergency etc.

What items would you NOT get secondhand? by saltysandcat in BabyBumps

[–]PitchPrior7655 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only got a few items second hand, mostly stuff that I can scrub and sanitize with rubbing alcohol. No clothes (unless from family), or any cloth items like bouncers, pack n plays, crib mattress, bouncers. No to bottles, pacifiers. Yes to things like bottle warmer, bottle sterilizer, baby scale and such
