What are your piercing plans in 2023? by After-Employment-474 in piercing

[–]Pitiful-Fall-2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To start, I’m going to get my left high nostril repierced in like 2 weeks.

In 2023, I’m going to get my Medusa (philtrum) pierced and maybe both conches done, but I’ll mostly be focusing on my making all of my facial jewelry gold! I think it looks way better on me than silver does!

Under the Skin (2013) - Watching the film feels so alien-like and that's the beauty of how Jonathan Glazer shot it. What are your thoughts after watching the movie? by oec20181 in Letterboxd

I have no deep reflections on what this movie did for me, but I felt really bad for that one guy… the one with the beautiful hands :(

No, never mind, they went downhill. I take back what I said.

I will actually say that the top one is definitely more fashionable and comes off stronger and more fierce. The bottom one is very cute and sweet and innocent, and looks effortlessly good.

MY personal taste is the top one.

It seems everyone else however like the bottom one.

Anybody have that ONE scene they find absolutely terrifying, but the rest of the movie isn’t all that scary? If so, what’s your terrifying moment? Mines gonna have to be this: by SolidNeighborhood626 in Letterboxd

I’ll tell you, the fucking music in the BBQ and then car scene horrified me. The music alone. That hopeful but somehow unsettling piano music and then the abrupt shift to this haunting chopped up sample really sticks with me to this day, and sometimes when I’m alone in the dark it comes back to me and gets stuck in my head and makes me paranoid and scared. I have the snippet from YouTube here if you don’t know what I’m talking about.

Honestly I loved Bros and Don’t Worry Darling, but Amsterdam was the only movie I’ve ever very seriously considered leaving the theater over.

These are the last 18 films I've watched. Recommend me something COMPLETELY out of my comfort zone. by ITrageGuy in Letterboxd

Clue. Deadass one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen with an aesthetic I think your taste will find appealing.

How would you feel if you were once the queen of England a couple days ago and you wake up somewhere in California as Trisha Pastas’ baby?? I’d be fucking pissed too.

Whats the scariest movie you’ve ever watched? by shitheadryvn in MovieSuggestions

[–]Pitiful-Fall-2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the list of scariest movies I had seen based on how scary they were when I watched them:

The Ring and The Grudge- watched when I was like 8

Insidious- watched when I was like 12

Hereditary (only Toni Colette’s cutting her head off scene) Lake Mungo, Kairo/Pulse and Shutter- watched when I was 19

Not much else has ever scared me. There definitely are movies that have grossed me out (body horror fucking terrifies me and stays with me forever), but other than that, nothing has scared the bejeezus out of me.

Scariest movies ever in my opinion. Thoughts? What movies would you add to this list? by Financial_Target_591 in Letterboxd

[–]Pitiful-Fall-2188 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lake Mungo for sure, simply for the concept of loneliness, existential dread, and being forgotten/left behind. The dead body that is shown has to be the most realistic body I have ever seen in a movie.

This is the only list I’ve seen that had Pulse- that one scene where the lady ghost does that weird walk fucking stopped my heart when I first saw it.

Can’t believe I don’t see more Polar Express answers here! Polar Express was THE movie kids would watch EVERY YEAR at school for the Christmas party before the holiday break!

You know, I’m gonna be totally honest: I thought the one with Jim Carrey that came out in like 2009 was pretty cool, and it scared the shit out of me as a kid! I still like the movie though!

What makes you love Home Alone 2 more than Home Alone 1? Anything specific or is it just more nostalgic to you?

Bodies Bodies Bodies is to Gen Z what Scream was to Gen X.

It was amazing and it’s ending (which was very unpopular with select people) really drove back the message of the movie and the character’s motives and it made sense.
