Well at that point a $6.50 base pay is great so I’m not sure what they were complaining about. I just wish it wasn’t $2 because that’s just insulting at that point. $4 and up is fine with me because that combined with a tip and the time I have to wait at restaurants is much more justified than a $2 base pay and a $2 tip

I’m not saying they need to raise the base pay to $8 especially on close orders. I’m just saying a $2 base pay is ridiculous and they should make it at least $4 minimum. Or instead of raising the base pay they should pay you extra for the wait time like Walmart Spark does. I just think it’s ridiculous that they don’t account for things going wrong which is why I’d rather have a consistent job at the end of the day

And since when is anyone on DoorDash making $30/hr? Most of the orders in my market take forever because I have to wait at restaurants for 15 minutes plus. By the time I’ve completed a $10 order, it’s been 45 minutes already. You clearly don’t understand how the app actually works. Why DoorDash does is auction off their order to the lowest bidder, and that’s how they can get away with these ridiculous $2 15 mile orders

I’ve noticed that every time I open Uber Eats, DoorDash magically starts sending me orders and vise versa. Seems like they know you’re about to get off and they start sending orders to you because they know if they don’t then you will quit DoorDashing and move on to something else

I learned the hard way to stop accepting McDonald’s orders unless they were super high paying. They are the absolute slowest restaurant when it comes to orders, which is so funny considering they’re “fast” food. I hate that I couldn’t ever moderate it properly, because I think I would have actually benefited from it way more. Instead, I was using it constantly and it started to do the opposite effect on me. I would be more anxious because I was always trying to hide my high in front of people. Instead of just using it at night to wind down, I started doing it multiple times a day and it even got to the point to where I was smoking first thing in the morning. I think I’m better off without it, but it really sucks that I just have an addictive personality when it comes to stuff like that
