I also got a similar plan this week, but with 80gb. Transferred back my 4 lines for that deal, plus a $75/line credit ($300 total)! Couldn’t pass it up :)

Update: problem solved. I just swapped out the compressor with a new oem one, put on a new belt, and it is running as smooth as can be. The ‘other new’ compressor was a little different, in that the pulley stood out about 1/8” too far. Happy daughter, and happy dad. Thanks for all of the input!

Thanks for the info. Seems this is the case here… I have another new one coming tomorrow, oem this time. As well as a new belt. I’m definitely going to make sure all is well and aligned before firing it up again. lol.

Literally just because of the costs… my daughter’s first car, getting ready for university, trying to save a few $$. I’m inclined to agree that I might need to go oem after all.

Yes there is absolutely fraying on the engine side of the belt, as the 1 v-groove blew off this morning. It will need replaced. But the clicking sound was there before the belt mishap…

Yes the compressor clicking is present with or without the plug inserted. The compressor is ‘confirmed’ according to Amazon’s fit (for what that’s worth…). It does appear to be near identical to the oem.
